  1. The swing doors on the TC are 50-50, the Promaster City and the Nissan have 60-40 doors. The refit is would be more complex than it looks because of the wiring and wiper washer hardware hookups . davidparker is correct that a good option for the bike rack is the swing out, hitch mounted rack. I have an XLT with swing doors and it has all the options that i need. Keep looking and you will find the right one. You might have to take a ride to get it.
  2. Sorry to hear that, I was hoping for a test dirve. I think The order numbers and Interest were most likely low and Ford pulled the plug.
  3. Check this recent post on your subject it could help Can I add OEM Cruise control to vehicle that came without it
  4. The only question is does the car have the right wiring harness, if so then a good dealer could do it. Unfortunately the best time to find out about adding cruise control was before you finalized the purchase.
  5. When I replaced the tires I up-sized to 215/60/16 . It added .5" to the side wall height . The change improved the ride quality.
  6. The thing that happens to the Tensioner most of the time is the bearing fails. If you take the belt off and check the pulley for wobble. The bearing should be free and smooth with no noise.
  7. I do not have any pictures of the engine you have. Is the Camshaft driven by a toothed rubber belt or a Chain. In any event if the tensioner was not doing its job 100% it could allow the timing to Jump and might not wreck the belt.
  8. The Transforce CV must be relatively new I checked 5 or 6 sites and you are correct no reviews. The 1010 tires site reviews you referenced were for the Transforce -AT tire . The simple tire reviews I referenced were also for the Transforce-AT tire.. My experience with Transforce tires is limited to the Transforce HT model and has been good.
  9. Thanks for that I have a 2014 and did not know that it will help when hooking up the trailer
  10. That is a different tire, and if you go to another retailer Simple Tire there are many more reviews and they paint a different picture. I cannot speak for the "Transforce At tire, I have had two sets of Transforce HT's on a 3500 Duel wheel Chev cutaway van . The Registered Weight is 12000 and it runs that weight 100% of the time. The tires last 35000 miles and are retired . If the Transforce CV give the same service you will be happy.
  11. As long as the engine did not run out of oil the only issue is the mess. That oil fill is located right over the cam shaft so if the cap was loose or missing it would make a big mess.
  12. The oil cap and the Dip stick are yellow and are where the arrow is
  13. I That is not the issue, in order to make the EV a replacement for the Internal combustion engine the refueling will have to be in the Minute time frame and not the hour time frame. The other benefit would be that improved batteries could easily be introduced and the old ones could be easily recycled.
  14. Electric cars will take off like a rocket as soon as a universal replaceable battery is adopted !
  15. You could also install the Two seat sports car module to go along with the engine mods.
  16. . If you find a good spring shop , in Vermont it would be McLeod's Spring & Chassis you will find replacement to be very reasonable.
  17. If you are getting 23 on the Highway with CNG you are doing very well. The Range on CNG will be 15-20% below regular Gasolene.
  18. There are several invasive bugs in the firewood and more than one of states have restrictions on the movement of fire wood. Vermont is one of them . As for water we are not facing a water issue here.
  19. If you are limiting the use to what you say you will not have any issues if you do nothing. The trouble you would get into with the fire wood is being arrested for transporting the fire wood with out a permit.
  20. Having looked at the hose routing on the TC I think that the most invasive part would be the hook up to the flushing machine.
  21. If you Drain and refill the Transmission 3 to 4 times you can change almost 100 % of the fluid with out an invasive operation that would stir things up. I change mine every 25000 miles. If you slack the belts you can spin the pulleys and get an idea of what condition the water pump ,alternator and idler pulleys are in. Have the AC system tested and topped off, as over time they all loose refrigerant. I think you will find it is a very good service platform. Welcome abord
