The bolt for checking the fluid is visible through the Left wheel well with the wheel turned to the left so the level could be checked from there with no lift
windguy the Rear Barn doors have the same shape panels as the masonite van panels except they are the same material as the wiper motor covers that are on yours
Johnyguy The Fluid check proceedure is a pain but not very hard if the Gear is low enough to shift badly it will not be good for the Transmission Clutch Packs. Check the fluid soon!!
I also would like to see the service advisory on the issue Good luck
The Directions are accurate the fill is not as easy to get to as the picture shows . The air filter top and hose has to be moved to get to the fill but it is possible
A very crummy way to save $10.00 Dollars
Remember the heater core gets water from the engine coolant at engine temp. That temp could be over 200 degrees . So with the temp valve oopen and no fan it would be very hot at the heater core.
Another thought is the Exaust from the engine with the Converter is right there in the center of the car and running under the center that could be adding some heat
I will have to check it out more
The Passenger Van has ductwork going under the the seats for the back seat heat. The hot air is directed down through that area, I am not sure if the work van has the ducts, but I supect that there is alot of hot air directed at that area as well
It should stay cooler with the temp control in the cooling zone if they put in a water control valve for the heater. Have not checked out the water valve yet.
I am late to the conversation.. I had time today to check the parts diagram for the heater and the front heater core supplies heated air under the drivers and Passengers seat when the control is pointing to the feet . With the fan on 3 or 4 and the front temp control on high there is a fair amount of heated air under the Driver and Passengers seats . The intake for the rear heater is under the Drivers seat. This is not a great design but it might make more heat availiable for the rear of the vehicle
This won't fix the Bad design but could help some.
The Transmission Fluid Check Proceedure outlined in another Post is accurate, the photos are correct. It is however a pain in the Butt without a lift
Have a Great Day
Windguy Here are the photos . Forgive the Mud, Vermont is hard on Cars
Any More News on the Half Shaft Seal Issue, Mine is weeping
The Transmission fluid check pictures are accurate
Have a great day
I have a 2014 LWB wagon, Installed a Curt 2" receiver, well made, easy to install, sticks out less than 1" from the bumper . Very reasonably priced from E Trailer, they have the Lighting adapter also.
Hope this helps
