Rear door slamming into me in high wind!

If you take Windguy's rig and make two pieces you could have the option of using each door independently using the middle latch points -
Rear door slamming into me in high wind!
G B L replied to Boomerweps's topic in Accessories and Modifications
I have not yet gotten mad enough to take on the issue. If you check out Windguy he built a clever tie bar for his rig that could be helpful. His post's have some pictures -
Mine is a 2014 Xlt with the 6F35 . I often tow a 1300- 1600 lb trailer I change the fluid every 23000- 26000 miles . I have 63000 on the clock. The transmission has been very good. Don is correct that it is hard on the fluid. I think there are a lot of 2 year lease vehicles and the mileage is correct for the lease time.

I have had several sets of Nokian winter tires They are very good winter tires. They are on the soft side but really good winter tires.

Nice Report Don, I used the vent to fill mine with a long funnel and the fluid went in fast. I have changed mine twice at approximately 25000 mile intervals. This vehicle works the fluid hard so for the price of the fluid I might shorten the interval.

ALERT Power Steering Hose Problem
G B L replied to Hal's topic in Recalls & Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)
The engine layout of the Diesel model is most likely different. No Diesels over hear yet. -
The manual lock feature is good to know about. There is a memory saver that can be plugged into a power socket that will not have enough power to spark any thing but will provide enough to maintain the computer memory settings.

ALERT Power Steering Hose Problem

It would be a Gen 1 and pretty early in the US bound TC's -
It should be on the engine side of the firewall.

Another plus is that Yellow lights are legal for flashing warning signals in all states..
