  1. Thanks Don I will check it out.
  2. Thanks for the info on the titanium, I will check into it. The disc brake parts here in the northeast have other causes for shorter pad and rotor life.
  3. Do you have a sorce for sheet titanium?
  4. Thanks for the porfile picture. if you set the fence right and have the correct blade you can gain the clearance needed. it will make all the drilled holes functional and easy to seal. Could be an elegant solution Keep us posted on the job!
  5. That sounds like a neat solution. The gen 2 wheel bearings are larger than the gen 1, that alone helps some. The way my tc is loaded the rear pads and rotors are loaded and needed replacement first.
  6. My XLT does not have the rain sensing wipers. Maybe the next one.
  7. With the right bearing tool the strut does not have to be pulled and the job is fast. That's a fair price. Your bearing failed early, sounds like a defect.
  8. Make sure to get a record in with where you purchased the Tc. The transmission shift is adaptive so if you disconnect the battery it will go through the learn process and could change how it shifts.
  9. If you Take a 3/16 Drill (Cobalt is the best) Drill two holes at 180 Degrees from each other You will be able to split the nut with a narrow chisel. Then it will spin off with some snap ring pliers. The other Lug nuts are also sleeved in Stainless and if you live in a part of the country that uses salt or Mag Chloride you want to get rid of those also as the rust build up between the sleeve and the nut will make the tire change a very trying operation at some point .
  10. I used the Curt trailer module when I put a hitch on my TC. The Wells Cargo trailer I own has Led lights and they function perfectly . The two other trailers without led light also function normally.
  11. Looking at the end view on Windguy's track the extrusion is hollow. That fact kills my Idea of Trimming the track down to the 1 and 11/16 that you need to go into the channel in the roof channel.. It would have allowed the tracks to be installed with the same holes. Too bad.

Fifty 150 I agree with you. GM is famous for the introduction of advanced stuff followed by marginal support and then pulling the plug just as the Idea will start to catch on.

Your TC is acting normally. 4 cyl's with automatic transmissions don't have the idle quality that a 6 cyl or 8 cyl has. GM had two Hybrid Pickups 2005 and 2009 to 2013 Series 2
  14. Lots good information. My TC has a back up camera, but as all of the other vehicles in the fleet do not. I check the rear and have become proficient with the mirrors.

Nice post you definitely are keeping your foot in it . Make sure ford uses at least 12 qt's to get a good flush.
  16. I can see you are an over thinker. The result is a Wonderful Job!!
  17. Very Nice report. I hope the Sway control function never gets to be tested..
  18. If you take Windguy's rig and make two pieces you could have the option of using each door independently using the middle latch points
  19. I think you are good from the Tc's standpoint. A possible downside is providing a potential thief access to the key.
  20. I have not yet gotten mad enough to take on the issue. If you check out Windguy he built a clever tie bar for his rig that could be helpful. His post's have some pictures
  21. Mine is a 2014 Xlt with the 6F35 . I often tow a 1300- 1600 lb trailer I change the fluid every 23000- 26000 miles . I have 63000 on the clock. The transmission has been very good. Don is correct that it is hard on the fluid. I think there are a lot of 2 year lease vehicles and the mileage is correct for the lease time.
  22. I have had several sets of Nokian winter tires They are very good winter tires. They are on the soft side but really good winter tires.
