  1. That has been done by me, although not on the TC Yet.
  2. Fifty 150 is correct , the maximum factory configuration is 7.
  3. You can get to the Bat terminals to use a booster pack by removing the battery cover, I am experienced in this operation!!
  4. Yes they are not the norm, and the ones with swing doors in the back are even harder to find. I was fortunate that a dealer in north eastern VT had exactly the right one in black.
  5. Cool One of these days i need to get to Tremblant , that will be an overnight trip for me at this point.
  6. You are correct that is one of the Major short comings of this vehicle. That having been said the fluid level is always the first thing to check in any issue with an automatic transmission. Any service station has the ability to raise this vehicle and check the level.
  7. You will need an up scale scanner which will give Transmission information. This should give more detailed trans information . How many miles? Has any one checked the fluid level on the car, that is the first thing to do.
  8. Tire Rack can solve your issue if you cannot take it any more !!
  9. If you have the right engine scanner the trans info is all there to see. That's what I use.
  10. Cool but Mt tremblant is close , and Mt Suttton is one of my favorite ski trips!!
  11. Most do but you would be surprised at how many don't and also the number that are missing a hole to adjust the brakes.
  12. The only way to really check Drum Brakes is to pull the wheels and drums. A lot of shops do not seem to want to pull the drums for just an inspection. The other thing to check when the Drums are off is the adjusters . Make sure they are operating , this will assure that all the brakes on the TC are doing there job.
  13. The real issue with the Snow is practice I have driven lots of types of vehicles in the snow over the years. Some are great some are not, but they all can go where you need most of the time. The key is knowing how the vehicle you are in at the time will handle. The only other rule of thumb is knowing when to stay off the roads when the number of idiot drivers rises to and unacceptable level.
  14. I understand but the 1400KM trip would have been an adventure. How far north in Quebec?
  15. I Took a large Dense foam gardening pad from tractor Supply and put it under My slip cover. Much Much better.
  16. Hey you could always take a road trip to Tire Rack, Windsor CT. A short mini vacation and 4 rims as a souvenir !! I used tire rack to source the Winter Alloy's for mine great deal good fit no extra holes to Plug.
  17. If you have enough of the right tools enlarging the hatch is possible . I am sure one of the aftermarket company's makes a bulkhead that would be suitable.
  18. I hope some dealer here gets a Lwb Diesel so I can give it a run to see how it goes. mrtn you could take one out for a ride to give us a report on how the performance matches yours. It is good to be in control and write your own Obituary!!
  19. Sometimes what is needed is skillful luck!!
  20. Looks great welcome. The 2018 has the simple 2.5 engine and that could be a plus.
  21. When the traction control senses slippery conditions the stage one uses the brake to simulate positraction. This is a good idea. However if it is snow or mud it uses stage 2 when it senses both wheels having traction issues it disables the throttle completely . This renders the car, Van , pickup truck dead in the intersection, crossroad or hill . If the positraction mode was extended then the traction control would be a great asset. The traction control works very well in the rain above 20 mph .
  22. Have you tried a boost for the battery/
  23. Living in the Snow/Mud belt I have practiced the Traction Control turn off procedure . This car becomes very vulnerable rapidly so practice makes for safer operation. Why do you want Rear drive more than all wheel drive/
