Replaced PCM twice in 500 miles? What kills PCMs?
G B L replied to Dogbert62's topic in Powertrain Tech
Absolutely The low voltage made the circuit take more Amps to do the same job. If the connection was loose or intermittent it could result in a voltage spike that could harm the Pcm. The critical components are generally well engineered . Bad assembly or a failed component can undo good engineering. Keep us up dated Safe travels!! -
If the injectors operate correctly there is no set time to replace them. If you get the right scanner you can test the injectors one at a time to see which if any are weak.

I would like to see the starter for the on - off Transit. Hopefully Tesla will survive. If the electric car makers Picked a Voltage and a Standard battery package to allow for a fuel station battery swap. The number of electric cars would would make a quantum leap. It would allow for battery improvement being available to already produced cars.

The recall I Received was for the Rear sliders Don. I have yet to act on it , it does not affect my getting a sticker so I have let it ride. I looked at my slider latches and it looks to me like your left rear slider was not adjusted correctly with a fair amount of rubbing. The pictures of My latches show no paint damage . Lots of use and 70000+ miles. If the latches were changed it looks like they were not adjusted correctly. Keep us up dated. I wish you a good out come.

I agree with Mike The system voltage needs to be recorded over time with a scanner to see if the alternator is spiking the voltage, The battery should be tested also a bad cell could also cause a voltage spike . -
As long as they were emptied into the tank before you lean on them it will be ok!

I would try injector cleaner first, I use Sea Foam. 2 bottles in a 1/3rd of a tank of fuel. then take it out and lean on it hard. I have had very good luck using this method. Keep us up to date on your progress.

G B L replied to xarlock667's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
Because these wipers are phased by the BCM the Scanner is the only way to go, as Don Stated.- 13 replies

Ford saving money with bad engineering is not new. All the rest of the companies have done the same thing.

Most of the New cars switch the ground. One of the first things to do on any of these can bus vehicles is to do a scan, The body control Module controls the AC.

The tires that I purchased had a good rating were made in Thailand. I am running two sets on two different vehicles. When I mounted them they were very round easy to mount and No tire took More than 1 oz to balance . As they ware I will keep you up dated .

When the Continentals were all done, I put a set of these on . I went from 215-55-16 to 215-60-16 the ride improved . The Speedometer error is 2 miles per hour. It did not affect the shift quality. Time will tell how they hold up. Free Shipping (162) | Reviews (146) Consumer Recommended Tire Rack Tested Click to Compare SUMITOMO HTR A/S P02 (H- OR V-SPEED RATED

I think that you use what ever technology is available on the vehicle you are using at the time. My tc has a camera, the other vehicles do not . All tow trailers.

No LED trailer lighting?
G B L replied to Prairie Dog's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Towing & Upfit Packages
Mike There is something is a miss with your trailer wiring adapter Most of the modules have a power line supplies power . it does not load the actual light circuit in the car so the lights flash at normal speed. -
Nice view, I have a portable lift that would fit in your Apt. The stairs would be hard though!

The cars last very well in Vegas but all the rubber and plastic parts get killed by the sun. Any coating used as rust proofing needs to stay soft, a hard coating like Line-X will hide the rust if any water penetrates the coating.

Up here Driving style might wear the Pads out. It is the dirt and salt that ruin the rotors . The pads had 40-50 % left . The rear pads wore faster On My rig, they got changed a year ago at 45000 miles

I have the California air compressor the noise difference is worth the price they are very well made. Once you run the two styles side buy side the choice will be clear.

Before you buy an Air Compressor check out These units Home Depot has them, So does Northern Tool . Very Very Quiet.

I am with you, The mileage difference is small and the drive-ability of the Auto is my prefference.
