  1. Considering that 4 valve Twin cam engines have been around since the 1912 Peugeot L76 Grand Prix race car. The Iron block push rod engine reference is good. The easiest way to make HP is Displacement.
  2. The wagon has power windows, the Van glass option is fixed. I you were going to use the wagon door for a van you could live with a non operating window
  3. The related over heat issue was solved after 12/2014. The 1.6 engine could have had a cooling system modification that made the service bulletin fix unnecessary, which would eliminate the software fix need . In any event Ford should figure a way to return the Speedometer feature as it is one of the more useful items. Keep on it you will prevail.
  4. The electrics are the only issue. If the door is from a Van the harness should be the same, If the door is off a wagon there will be extra wiring for the window and sound system.
  5. Oh well . I will be interested in how it compares to the current TC's in terms of performance . As a side Note There are several videos about the potential issues with Carbon deposits on the Direct injected engines, due to the oil mist from the crank case and no fuel cleaning the intake valves. You might want to check them out
  6. EV cars would move to the mainstream very rapidly if the manufactures could move to the battery tool model with changeable batteries . If the size and voltage were universal then EV's would become viable instantly. mrtn did you drive the diesel version of your TC before you purchased your 1.6 Turbo?
  7. You Need a scanner for sure. The first thing to do is check the fluid level. what year , how many miles?
  8. The dealer needs to put an amp meter in series with the battery and remove the fuses and circuit breakers one at a time to see where the draw is , then they will know if it is a hardware issue or a software issue. The normal parasitic draw should not kill the battery for at least a month. Today's vehicles have lots of computers and the memory functions cause a very small continuous load on the battery.
  9. Hey Don could you post a Picture of your ramps?
  10. Hey Don could you post a Picture of your ramps?
  11. If you live in the salt rust belt the Stainless capped nuts will become an issue at some point. The proper wrench , Torque wrench and anti-seize won"t hurt but the end result will still be frustration, if the nuts are not replaced in time!
  12. I have used the cooler line method lots of times on lots of cars, if you run 3 qts out at a time the pump fill not run dry. The 2014 TC has a drain plug and the cooler line is very hard to access. The drain fill , drain fill method is better suited to the Gen 2. The total capacity is under 9 qts,A 12 qt case will do the job. Lifetime fluid could mean almost anything. Ford is only worried about the TC making 60000mi or 100000k, after that all bets are off.
  13. Ah seat belts! I cracked the Windshield of a 1951 Ford Sedan standing on the front seat. I Remember my dad out in the Driveway with a wood drill putting in seat belts in the 1955 Buick Special. I guess he was a good dad!!
  14. If your plywood transport needs are occasional and TC has Barn doors , you can fold the seats flat and Put a 1X8 Vertically along one of the Wheel wells and The plywood will ride nicely there. Welcome aboard Looks like you found a nice one.
  15. I you get the TC up so you can have good access you could find a way to unload it and free up the cable. I bet if you loosen the mount you will be able to free the cable. Good Luck and keep us posted.
  16. That would be my choice also, good call
  17. If you can raise the TC as high as possible then the cable will wind up better with the cable straight and loaded .
  18. Ford is trying to keep the Mileage up for the Transit Connect . A performance version is not in the Cards.
  19. The shift patterns of the Trans definitely change. The New fluid could have changed the shift quality.
  20. It could. Do a good job cleaning the whole Valve cover area, then watch the whole area to see where it gets wet with oil first. Keep us posted
  21. Not sure where you are located, but you might want to check with your attorney generals office, You might have some recourse it there was a TSB on your issue especially considering the timing.
  22. Knowing where you are I am not surprised at your View!!
