  1. Howdy, folks! Can anyone living in Tucson/Phoenix, Arizona (or nearby) that owns a 2nd generation Connect Wagon (trim doesn't matter) please help me? I need to hand measure Front Driver's seat, which includes removing/re-installing for a project I'm working on. I have the Ford Workshop Manual section on seat removal with proper torque specs and I also have all correct tools, including torque wrench. I have cash to give you for your time. This will be a 2-part process; first time we meet, preferably asap, I'll need less than 1hr. Second time (late Nov), I'll need 1-2hrs. Please respond here, or PM me. Thanks for your help!
  2. I'm in the quest for a diesel to replace my 2009 VWTDI. My wife wants: a Ford (because it's the only dealer in town) A minivan for ease of parking with plenty of room for shopping (she had a Dodge Caravan mini, circa 1996 and loved it) An automatic. We were about to buy a 2017/2018 SWB Transit Connect when I read about the 2019 Transit Connect standard/SWB coming standard with a diesel. I was very happy when I read about that. I HAD a 1978 VW Diesel Rabbit, loved it got up to 65MPG on trips running light. I've GOT a 1988 Ford F350 diesel conversion van, a 2002 F350 dually diesel and two diesel Kubota tractors so I like the diesel powerplant.. I'm primarily here for hints and tips on the rest of the vehicle.
  3. After 10 months it finally happened! SWB, Ecoboost, Leather, Navi, Hitch, Backup sensors, Panoramic roof and Deep Impact Blue. Super stoked! future mods 2014 Focus ST 18's(had them for 3 months already), Eibach M-Sport springs(Eibach USA ordered 5 sets from Germany), Tint the Rest of the windows, 1up USA bike rack trays inside(replacing the 60% bench), Install baby seat, Rear upper reflectors, K&N filter and lid and the list goes on and on.............. thanks to everyone who posted on here to motivate me and keep me excited after so many bad dealer experiences and failed purchases
  4. New member. Have a 2018 XLT Wagon SWB on order. We made the decision to buy a Connect in January. It will replace two cars - a 2009 Kia Borrego and a 2007 Mitsubishi Raider. We wanted something that seated five, could haul a significant amount of cargo in an enclosed area but not be so nice I that I couldn't haul bags of mulch and other garden supplies. Minivans were too big and nice. Even small SUVs were too nice. A base Honda Element would have been perfect but it isn't made anymore. Both of my kids had Elements as their college cars. My daughter is still driving her 2006 as she cannot not find anything better to match her lifestyle. We were unable to find any 2017 models that had all of the features we were looking for. The combination of SWB, Sync3 and all safety features was impossible to find. Multiple dealers told us that no Connect in the US had all of the features we wanted. And that it was too late for 2017 special orders. We placed an order with a local dealer in March. Have been waiting since then. Ford didn't accept the order until June. We were told two weeks ago that our vehicle had been slotted for production. Haven't heard anything since then. Not complaining. We knew it would be a months long process since we were in the gap between model years. We went through this last year when we ordered a 2017 Chevy Volt. Seven months between ordering and delivery as Chevy kept delaying starting production of the 50 state model. The Ford website has no info on the 2018 which is irritating. Has anyone else ordered a 2018?
