  1. I've setup my 2014 FTC wagon for camping but I'm super bummed to realize that there's no way to open the rear liftgate from the inside. Is there some obscure lever that I'm missing? If not, has anyone modded theirs to open from the inside? I found this in the transit form ... but I'm not sure how to wire it correctly and I'm hoping for a way to avoid cutting trim.
  2. Is there a doc somewhere showing how to drop (not necessarily remove) the headliner? I need access in three spots along the center of the roof for radio antenna mounts. I can wing it, but I'd prefer to know more before I attack. The airbags up there make me nervous. Installing high powered electronics next to armed explosives....
  3. New member. Have a 2018 XLT Wagon SWB on order. We made the decision to buy a Connect in January. It will replace two cars - a 2009 Kia Borrego and a 2007 Mitsubishi Raider. We wanted something that seated five, could haul a significant amount of cargo in an enclosed area but not be so nice I that I couldn't haul bags of mulch and other garden supplies. Minivans were too big and nice. Even small SUVs were too nice. A base Honda Element would have been perfect but it isn't made anymore. Both of my kids had Elements as their college cars. My daughter is still driving her 2006 as she cannot not find anything better to match her lifestyle. We were unable to find any 2017 models that had all of the features we were looking for. The combination of SWB, Sync3 and all safety features was impossible to find. Multiple dealers told us that no Connect in the US had all of the features we wanted. And that it was too late for 2017 special orders. We placed an order with a local dealer in March. Have been waiting since then. Ford didn't accept the order until June. We were told two weeks ago that our vehicle had been slotted for production. Haven't heard anything since then. Not complaining. We knew it would be a months long process since we were in the gap between model years. We went through this last year when we ordered a 2017 Chevy Volt. Seven months between ordering and delivery as Chevy kept delaying starting production of the 50 state model. The Ford website has no info on the 2018 which is irritating. Has anyone else ordered a 2018?
  4. So I'd like to rent a Transit Connect from Chicago to Florida to pick up a motorcycle a family member is selling to me. I called a local dealership (I called many, really, but only ONE would rent to the general public) and they said they had a Transit Connect for me! Score! But... I found out they only rent the "Wagon" version with the seats in the back. Can anyone confirm if that version has the same 6 tie-down hooks/D-rings like the Transit Connect cargo van version does? Maybe I need to take out the seats? If there are not any tie-down hooks, are there any good tie-downs to utilize? I'm assuming the rear door height is the same on both versions (wagon vs. van). I asked the service dept rep at the dealership to confirm for me, but he didn't know the answer and said the rental wagon wasn't on-site at the moment so he couldn't check.

  6. I have a new 2012 Wagon XLT Premium. The cargo area has slots on either side for a large shelf to slide in. Anyone seen this or have any idea where I can get one? Ford USA has no idea. Thanks
  7. Like the title says i bought a 2014 transit connect wagon LWB and the Ford dealer removed the seats for me. I have no use for these they are out of a brand new car. Never been used or sat in. If you go to ford to buy these seats complete they are more than 2,500$ for both. These are the third row seats. (2 Seats, Right, and Left), bolts included. Its super cool the way they fold, i just bought the vehicle for work and have no use for them. 8. Hello All, I am a Fleet Manager at Villa Ford located in Orange Ca. It has come to my attention that it has been very difficult to locate CNG transit connects. At this time I have several (35+) units of 2012 dedicated cng transit connects on my lot that are ready for purchase. I just recentley sold a T/C to a gentelman that flew out here from San Jose to purchase one from me because he couldn't find any local dealers that could/would help him. He was very pleased with his new CNG T/C. It was he that told me about these different forums and thought it would be good to let people know that I have so many units ready for purchase. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you. D

  11. I have a 2010 Transit Connect, and I'm looking for 2nd row seating out of a Transit Connect wagon. Any adivce on where to get a hold of these would be greatly appriciated. I've read the article about how the seats get scrapped out of the vans when they come into the port in Baltimore and have even thought about driving down there to see if I could get ahold of one. Has anyone had any luck locating back seats for their Transit Connect?
