57600 miles the Rear Continentals were down to the Wear bars. The Continentals went about 42000. Replaced them with a set of Sumitomo Tire HTR A/S P02 Performance Radial Tire - 215/60R16 99V load index. The first impressions are very good. They were round and easy to Balance not needing much weight . The handling is comparable . The TC seems unaware of the 3% increase in the circumference. The Speedometer is 2 MPH low, no issue for me. The ride quality is noticeably better. While I was there the Rear pads were at 20% and the disc's were rusting (dirt roads and winter salt) . New Pads and rotors , (Rockauto $11.85 pads $14.56 ea. rotors )The brakes are now back to new. The front brakes are at 50 % so they will go further. Time will tell how good the tires are.

As long as it does not migrate into the Wiper Path you are good. When it does you will have to replace the windshield to get an inspection sticker

Sounds like both Conversion Companies could do a conversion top and inside unit for the TC. Looks like a nice job. 26000 + is a formidable price for a small camper.

If I were dropping the pan to change the filter I would make sure that it went back on with a drain plug. That would make the fluid flush a very easy job. If there is a problem with mixing the the fluid it will be noted on the speck sheet for the ATF. Valvoline's web site will have the PDF

Car ramps for oil change..will these work?
G B L replied to Willygee's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Don what brand are your ramps? They must have the right ramp angle. The ramps in your picture have too much ramp angle. -
Can I fit an intercooler that doesn't have a 'Thrust Sensor Outlet'
G B L replied to Joe.S's topic in Powertrain Tech
Remove it carefully and use a small amount of pipe sealant on the thread if there is no gasket. looks like an easy fix -
Can I fit an intercooler that doesn't have a 'Thrust Sensor Outlet'
G B L replied to Joe.S's topic in Powertrain Tech
Is everything the same on the new intercooler except the Thrust sensor port ? If it is then the Thrust sensor port could be added to it . -
Most of the Fluid that will not drain when the plug is pulled is in the Converter. If you Refill and run for 1 or 2 Min that oil is pushed out of the converter and back to the sump. If you do at least 3 drain and fills then you will get the old fluid out faster with less Mixing. The exchange will happen faster.

Sounds like a Dukes of Hazard movie !

I have changed the trans fluid twice at about 22000 miles(36000+ Km) and 53000 miles (88300 + Km) .The fluid was noticeably dark both times. I have several trailers I tow and live in hilly terrain. The fluid works hard and shows it . The cooler line is hard to Access so I use the multiple drain and fill method. There is a post I did with pictures if you want to check it out.

I thought about it but 15" rims will not clear the calipers and rotors on the Gen 2.

I don't live in the western mountains where the turbo would help the altitude induced power loss, but in the mountains where I live the engine finds its up hill stride after 3000 rpms.

The synthetic that Don purchased is compatible with the Mercon LV.

2014 and Newer 6 Speed Select Shift...select first, is it supposed to hang?
G B L replied to Willygee's topic in Transmission
4k won't shift it in S mode if you are standing on it 5600-6000 will do it. -
This cars power is from 3000 to 5000 Rpm's When you remember that the Performance is fine. It is busy when you need to get busy. In the western mountains a 4000 lb car needs 120-140 hp to get up and go.
