  1. The van is set up for the spare so the install should be routine. I bought a van once that did not come with a spare, a hard lesson. Now i always ask!!
  2. These work well and will handle the power with no voltage drop.
  3. I can't speak for the Gen 1 but the Gen2 already has that mounted under the rear.
  4. The front windshield is a three piece safety glass which makes the glass stay in-place when broken. It will not stop a 2X4 or a heavy rock but will provide more protection. The Side windows are tempered glass are designed to crumble on impact . That is why car safety tools have a carbide point hammer function. None of this helps with the deductible!
  5. If the damage is just a slice and a hole you should be able to find the right body shop they can repair the cover and paint it for a reasonable cost .
  6. Sounds like you are ready for a new battery, winters coming!
  7. That would depend on the insurance company you have. Some would some would not.
  8. If you add the trailer to your auto policy and put collision and comprehensive on it it should cover the risk.
  9. https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-QuikPot-Propane-Coffee-Maker/dp/B004E4IAEQ/ref=sxin_3_ac_d_rm?ac_md=0-0-cHJvcGFuZSBjb2ZmZWUgbWFrZXI%3D-ac_d_rm&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4qPP_YiF5QIVA8DICh0_rAFuEAAYAiAAEgJmv_D_BwE&hvadid=241892181084&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9003037&hvnetw=s&hvpos=1t2&hvqmt=e&hvrand=9061169474067013828&hvtargid=kwd-746564800&hydadcr=24634_10399775&keywords=propane+coffee+maker&pd_rd_i=B004E4IAEQ&pd_rd_r=c23f3836-75d9-42ae-bde8-91125de8902c&pd_rd_w=vAPnT&pd_rd_wg=wzFpn&pf_rd_p=983984df-2ad2-4c97-ba7f-4c5a90291c2b&pf_rd_r=52G07FFPWY1KZWZB9MY2&psc=1&qid=1570276928 This should cover that issue very nicely!!
  10. Sounds like a computer issue if it came back and worked right. You need a high level scan tool that can check all the electric actuators .
  11. Good work. You can't get anywhere near the mileage on the brakes here in the north east, winters and salt won't let that happen. The gas question is easy , if the good gas makes enough more mileage for the extra cost then it is definitely worth it. I will have to try the better fuel to see how much extra punch it delivers. Any way great to here you have a good TC!
  12. It Sounds like a worthy project. You should include an audio file so we can hear the results.
  13. A piston engine is a compressor and one of the by products of compressing air is water. If the Crankcase ventilation system is not perfect and the trips are short then the muck collects at the top of the engine and the oil fill cap. Limit the short trips and make sure to fully warm the engine for a long enough when the weather is cold.
  14. Today's oils are very good if you are regular with the oil changes missing an oil change buy a 1000 miles will be of no issue over the life of the TC. 92000 on the clock and the Elephant ear visors are just as crappy as they ever were and are showing no signs of giving up.
  15. The warm up for me is not about the emissions operation or drive ability. When it is very cold all the plastic parts inside the engine and the transmission want to warm up before they are asked to move.
  16. Stop and go, The converter is unlocked and that means more heat.
  17. Here are the two profiles showing the differences . Have fun with the slide rule
  18. The TC is pretty loud when the fan is 0n 3 or 4 even with out a mouse nest!
  19. The oil passages thing is not the reason. If it was all the cars around here would be seized up after the first -25 day. The mufti-grade oil was really important before the wide spread use of synthetic based oil . The cold weather start up performance of synthetic oil is much better . The oil viscosity required is modified by the duty cycle , applied load . The oil viscosity for the marine engine derivative of a car or truck engine is higher due to the load and the length of time the load is applied.

  21. If the car starts fast then the batteries seem to last along time. If you have a drain say a charger that recharges drill batteries or runs a refrigerator then the shrinking capacity becomes apparent. Four to seven years is all that i get.
  22. They are not mandatory here but if you don't have good tires we do not have to feel bad passing you in the ditch!
  23. Hopefully you are not the first person. It sounds like a software issue. You will need to keep on the dealer to get a resolution. Good luck and keep us posted.
  24. That is good to here. It seems that the Propane may require more maintenance than gas alone, which is a draw back. Hopefully the cost savings make the extra maintenance worth it.
  25. I am using a 5w-20 full synthetic at the moment but could go to 5w-30. The synthetic stays fluid at the low temp. The thin oil is for the fuel mileage ratings. You might need it if it went to -40 or lower. At -40 I have another plan Stay home by the fire!!
