  1. It could be or it could be like the steps on the fan switch. I need to see the headlight to see what the motor assembly looks like . that would be the key to the project being worth while.
  2. That is a good idea. I wonder what would be needed to use the headlight adjust button that would also come on that switch?
  3. True. But I have drilled lots of holes over the years!!!
  4. You should try it. It is liberating . That never bothered me, It allowed the phone to be in the best place. The way I run my cars they usually end up in the Scrap yard in the end any way.
  5. Thanks for the info . Sounds like a great rig. Having a real tire is the best way and it does go very well where you have it. It would be nice if the 2.5 injection system could handle propane. Here the cost difference is not great enough to make the conversion popular enough to get the companies interested. I will continue to follow your experience with much interest.
  6. I am sure that the lift gate has a two position lock and that would have two clicks when closed. Also the key fob will open the lift gate when the trunk Icon is pushed so there is an actuator for that operation . The lock fully opens when the gate released with only one noise.
  7. Yes that is correct . What do the two buttons on the left side of the head light switch control
  8. Very Cool We do not get that here unless it has been recently added. Beam height Adjusted under the hood. I guess it is just another thing we do not get. The fog lamp switch on the left I have one what do yours control.
  9. On the Model here there is a vertical beam adjuster on each light, it is yellow and has a hex key opening. Put your TC 25 to 30 feet from a flat wall and you can adjust the beams . I did mine and the lights are now great. mrtn can you take a photo of the adjustment nob you have ? We might be on the short end of the stick here again
  10. Very nice could you take a picture of the fuel tank install ? Did you go with a space saver tire or Fix a Flat ? When you shift fuels does the ecu switch the fuel gauge?
  11. Does your Van still like the propane? Have you done any testing on the performance difference between the Gasoline and Propane? You are no doubt enjoying the cars pep!!
  12. Every engine , transmission combination now needs an emissions certification. . The way that the engine transmission is integrated into the computer net work in the TC will make the swap a big task . You will need to get the Fiesta ST engine harness to marry to the TC and re-flash the PCM to accept the change. Good luck keep us posted sounds like a cool project.
  13. Van Tech has several TC specific Racks . they have a good web site and are commercial grade Check them out http://vantech.us/Ford-Transit-Connect-2014-On_c181.htm
  14. What happens when it shifts into third? With the Ignition on and the engine not running what is the percentage of the throttle body. If you push the gas all the way to the floor ( ignition on engine off ) what is the percentage.
  15. Good photo of the HHR unit, The split Lids could make modification to fit easier but if you do not like the look then you will still have to search. Cutting a welded unit out , it will be harder than you think. Yours will be bolted so you are in luck. Ford still won't spend any time on the space. If it were not for the tariff All of the work vans would have a welded extension.
  16. The Toyota box goes under the second seat and not in the foot well. There is a box for the Chev HHR that looks to do what you guy,s want to do, you should check that one out! The bolt in floor extension is only for the US TC's . The floor extension is welded in everywhere else. Ford Motor is not spending any time on what to do with that space.
  17. The diameter difference is 1.4 inches and the tire is .4 inches wider . I think it would rub on some of the wheel travel. The wheel offset would have to be changed also. A better choice would be a 225-50-17 the Diameter difference would be .4 inches.
  18. roadkingsrule Have you checked the fluid level in the Transmission? when you get an answer let us know how it turns out
  19. Glad to see all has worked out, The issue was handled by an open minded tech looking for the answer. There was no folly, sometimes what is needed is a fresh look by someone who is just trying to solve the issue. Nice that you have joined in stay connected
  20. Great post . Sounds like a fun project. The 2 liter could get 230 + if done right. Thank's for bring this to are attention.
  21. It could be both, the wagon starts out much heavier than the van.
