After-Purchase Report
G B L replied to tcconvert's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Owner Impressions
The plywood will be a test in the wagon version. If you have a utility trailer as I do this is a non issue. Although it is harder to find on the wagon The Barn Doors for me are better choice. -

I have an XLT wagon and if you can live with the reduced height and leave the seats in the Full headliner do make a noticeable difference in the sound and noise levels. Having 4 power windows ads Lots to the cars ventilation. You also get Rear Air conditioning to keep things cooler. The Stock Radio has more speakers and better sound. -
Great winter vehicle as long as you know how to switch off the traction control.
-
Chuck should contact E-Trailer, they have at least 3 or four companies that supply a harness listing for the 2016. They could most likely help.
-
E- trailer has the wiring harness that is plug and play. no splicing, and 1 wire to the rear fuse block. The curt hitch is a very easy install.

Rear hatch license plate mounting holes
G B L replied to kookmyers's topic in 2014 Ford Transit Connect
This van is a world vehicle and has a metric threaded insert in the door, The domestic designs have a plastic insert that takes a Tec screws. The prep tech just wound the tech screws into the holes. As more world designs arrive they will learn to check. -
Is the 13 pin module in the parts list?
-
Cool thanks

Would the Hilux be a Tacoma here?
-
The pickup is it a Ranger
-
Very cool don't think that module is available here , have to set that up from the after market. How much is that unit worth there, if available?
-
It is and yes semi professional. Does your new TC have a brake controller?
-
This is a very competent tow vehicle. A more likely cause of an accident is a driver confusing this Van with a sports car!

Rear cargo net for 2015 Transit Connect passenger van

I just use the side slider and put the groceries right behind the drivers seat and it reduces the speed at which they hit the drivers seat. -
Transit Loosing Ignition power while driving, please help!
G B L replied to PATWS6's topic in Powertrain Tech
Hey Lots of cars from many different factories have had electrical connector issues. It is never a pleasant experience to be in the middle of that kind of problem. You at least have the satisfaction of knowing how much time it took and not having to wonder why you got a giant bill for what seemed like a small problem. Hope the Service from your Van continues to improve -
The Nokian WR D4 is worth a look. I have had lot of Nokian tires on multiple vehicles and they have all been top performers in the Winter Driving arena .

LED lights for cargo area in 2016 wagon

Very Nice Job. What level of trim does your TC have? -
I hear you and at some point I will get to drive a 1.6 and get a first hand experience. I wanted a wagon and the Short wheel base Seat configuration was was not acceptable. My choice used a different set of variables. Both outcomes are Valid. I also think that 200 to 240 hp in this van would be a lot of fun.

Micro Camper Conversion 2015 LWB XL
G B L replied to Torton's topic in Accessories and Modifications
If you are in a dry enough climate the work pretty well and use much less power. The one I was refering to is 12 volt and would work well in a TC camper with limited power resources. If you have the power AC is better. -
I have used that method lots of times, on lots of cars. The lay out is tight and transmission drain is very easy to get to. You need to be under the TC to check the level.
