  1. Sounds like you are well on the way back to having a good TC. The under car faring must help the TC a lot because Ford would not install something that the owner can't see and would not ask for . The Rear shocks should be an easy fix if you are handy. Shockware house has good prices.
  2. Has any one with DRL's tried pulling the handbrake 1 click. This turns off the Light on my Vehicles that are equipped with DRL's
  3. With out driving into a pole get a real picture of the road from the driver's seat some night. thanks .
  4. Mr B sounds like there is a bigger problem then the rear taillights. You could have a bad battery.
  5. Mrtn you are better schooled than most US drivers on small engine vehicle operation. When you look at most car and truck engine offerings the Hp's are very conservative. The fuel consumption is much more important to the EU buyer.
  6. The power curve for the 2.5 non Turbo engine is at 3000 plus. Coming from a V8 Power 2500-3500 take a while to get comfortable with. After the adjustment period the performance is fine. I think that new parking Idea will only change when the accident happens. Good luck with that
  7. The Blind Spot mirrors on the TC would be much better if they were located in such away to show the side of the vehicle as a reference. Looking over your shoulder only works if there is rear glass The Mirrors are always available and are your most reliable tool
  8. Sounds like the Second dealer really took you seriously and did a Relentless search. The Rubber Strip must be important to the wind action. I am glad the problem is moving to a resolution. The Power steering in the TC is electric and could be tied into the computer to mitigate the Torque steer you feel during the Acceleration. That could happen in the future if ford gets a lot of customer feed back.
  9. Now that is a very interesting question.
  10. Another advantage of the wagon seems to be the relative quiet and very few rattles . Except for all the Junk that has found its way into my TC
  11. Its an option over here, but as we do not have the diesels over here the information is limited.
  12. Does your van have the black rubber strips on the back of the slididng door? If not a set might take the motion out of the door.
  13. Diesel engines produce less heat in general. Most of the highway trucks have shuttters on the radiator. Do the Gen 2 diesels have Shutters over there?
  14. In the owners manual I have on page 155 it says under the heading Cold Weather Operations That the functional operations of some components could be affected below -13 F or -25 C . Quite cryptic if you ask me
  15. Third winter in My Gen 2. Completely adequate mrtn does your owners manual say somethings that might not work at -25c mine does.
  16. One other reason is the side slider on the LWB is 7 inches longer. I is the only van that does not use the same side door for both models
  17. I have the factory manuals pdf it is very good. Make several back ups.
  18. Looking over my shoulder in my other truck gets you a look at the bulkhead between the cab and the box, so its just the mirrors for me.
  19. Winter will be here soon too. The issue with the TRC is most evident from a stop when just starting out. Once you are at speed it is fine. Glad your tires are good
  20. Learn how the traction control works and read the manual to see how to be able to switch it off. It will be an unpleasant surprise some slippery day . If your TC has the rear heater , the way it works best is by setting the front heater to the floor. That allows more heat to be available to the rear heater intake . This will help the rear auxiliary heater.
  21. Hey remember Henry Ford once said you can have any color you want if its Black
