  1. If Renault has anything to do with it, I am dubious.
  2. Maybe over there but not here . Have You checked ? It will be next to the battery box. If it is take a picture
  3. Not sure but I would not be surprised!
  4. I have had lots of those , The GM Version. They all would take a 4x8 sheet of plywood between the wheel wells.
  5. Fifty 150 you just described the Suburban the president uses
  6. The torque is in a different place. I have three trailers I pull with the TC I own and the performance is completely adequate at the load rating. If I were going to pay extra for more power then I would want substantially more power.
  7. Sounds like you have the car you wanted. The Taxi version of the LWB has only two seats now, I suspect the fleet version will be the same. Make sure the flaps are long enough and extend into the wheel well far enough to be effective .
  8. If the market were there they could put a stronger Transmission, and Power or economy setting in the information center and come up with a really great rig that could have really good towing specs.
  9. I have the wagon and the Barn Doors were the reason I looked at the TC in the first place. Once you get use to the mirrors and the Back up cam the center post will not be an issue. The utility of the back doors is much better . As for the latch recall lean on the dealer . They want to move that car and will get the latches pretty fast if they know the sale will go through
  10. Great points. Ford's idea about this vehicle sets the tone. The engine performance option added 9 hp and moved the torque curve. They have removed that option for 2017! If performance were in anybody's thoughts the optional engine would have been a 2.0 liter ecoboost at around 245 hp.
  11. Where I live if you get a paper plate they mail them to you, if you get a new "Wanker" plate they mail them to you also. If you have your own "Wanker" plate you do a transfer. If you do not get the car from an in state dealer you go to the dmv your self with the paper work.
  12. The relay cycles when you switch the ignition off? For how long. If it cycles can you trace where you hear the noise?
  13. Good info on the transmission. The Gen 1 has a 4 speed trans with a pan that you take off when the fluid gets changed. I suspect that the filter was not installed properly . The Gen 2's filter can not be changed with out spliting the transmission case. In any event making sure the fluid is not over heated by towing is the major point.
  14. The TC is a very capable tow rig. The 2 inch reciever is great because it makes towing hardware usable on more vehicles. The tow rating is a product of the Warranty department, and the Lawyers . The sporty nature of the TC Survives towing quite well. mrtn sandbaged?
  15. Very nice job . You have put a lot of thought into your camper. Looking forward to the Total Build. Thanks for including the Happy Camper!
  16. Hey fixing the fan and the AC could make the under hood temps much lower. The Alternator output and voltage gets much lower as the temp rises. You may have found the issue. Looking forward to the next post. Carry on
  17. Does charging the Battery after two days still Help? You need a good scan tool that can check the BCM (body Control Module)

    Oil

I think you will find that the TC will carry its Rated cargo weight Very well . Today I had 4 people and my tool kit (400-500 Lbs ) in the car and it did a very competent job .
  19. The List of options is done at the corporate level here , The Dealer is very limited in what they control. The emissions are limiting the Diesel's here due to the low numbers. If the gas stays cheap the other fuel types are hard pressed to make a number's gain. The Propane rig that mrtn has would be most interesting if the fuel were available at the cost advantage he has.
  20. That looks like a great unit . I have an XLT Wagon and the Rear heat and AC fan will make the box install difficult . The box having a lock and you having the Key does not constitute your control?

    Oil

Every Car I have had any thing to do with since 1964 has gone over 150000mi. There were Several Oldsmobile's with Carburetors that went well over 200000 and it wasn't the worn out engine that ended the ride, Around here with out special care 12- 15 years is the life of a car used 12 month's a year.

    Oil

Most car owners never plan to keep their car for a 100,000 miles. The oil choice for them is not a big deal no mater what engine or what service.
