Most of the Fluid that will not drain when the plug is pulled is in the Converter. If you Refill and run for 1 or 2 Min that oil is pushed out of the converter and back to the sump. If you do at least 3 drain and fills then you will get the old fluid out faster with less Mixing. The exchange will happen faster.

Sounds like a Dukes of Hazard movie !

I have changed the trans fluid twice at about 22000 miles(36000+ Km) and 53000 miles (88300 + Km) .The fluid was noticeably dark both times. I have several trailers I tow and live in hilly terrain. The fluid works hard and shows it . The cooler line is hard to Access so I use the multiple drain and fill method. There is a post I did with pictures if you want to check it out.

I thought about it but 15" rims will not clear the calipers and rotors on the Gen 2.

I don't live in the western mountains where the turbo would help the altitude induced power loss, but in the mountains where I live the engine finds its up hill stride after 3000 rpms.

2014 and Newer 6 Speed Select Shift...select first, is it supposed to hang?
G B L replied to Willygee's topic in Transmission
4k won't shift it in S mode if you are standing on it 5600-6000 will do it. -
This cars power is from 3000 to 5000 Rpm's When you remember that the Performance is fine. It is busy when you need to get busy. In the western mountains a 4000 lb car needs 120-140 hp to get up and go.

The fuel system needs to be protected for the elevated corrosion that high alcohol fuel brings. The seals and rubber parts need to be changed to alcohol rated products , Edelbrock and Holley both make performance Carburetors that are calibrated to run E-85 . The Indy 500 has run methanol , Ethanol and E-85. The high octane allows for lots of power to weight and the ability to extinguish fires with water is an added benefit. The fuel mileage and cost are a secondary concern .

Factory Towing package?
G B L replied to Boomerweps's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Towing & Upfit Packages
There are no extra coolers and the brakes are the same. I have pulled 3 different trailers with mine and the brakes are completely adequate for the rated weight of a trailer. I added a Curt Hitch and wiring kit to mine so I do not have the Trailer Module. The Transmission seems fine and shifts well when Pulling the trailers. -
Factory Towing package?
G B L replied to Boomerweps's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Towing & Upfit Packages
I suspect is is just the Weight. The tow package has a software adjustment to the Stability Module for a trailer sway . -
It is all about the BTU's per dollar. Good Information Don.

That was good information Thanks

If the TC has had a fluid change the pan gasket replacement was not up to the OEM standard and could have been compromised during installation. The She Crab Soup sounds Very good !
