Rear cargo net for 2015 Transit Connect passenger van

I just use the side slider and put the groceries right behind the drivers seat and it reduces the speed at which they hit the drivers seat. -
Transit Loosing Ignition power while driving, please help!
G B L replied to PATWS6's topic in Powertrain Tech
Hey Lots of cars from many different factories have had electrical connector issues. It is never a pleasant experience to be in the middle of that kind of problem. You at least have the satisfaction of knowing how much time it took and not having to wonder why you got a giant bill for what seemed like a small problem. Hope the Service from your Van continues to improve -
The Nokian WR D4 is worth a look. I have had lot of Nokian tires on multiple vehicles and they have all been top performers in the Winter Driving arena .

LED lights for cargo area in 2016 wagon
G B L replied to Don Ridley's topic in Accessories and Modifications
Very Nice Job. What level of trim does your TC have? -
I hear you and at some point I will get to drive a 1.6 and get a first hand experience. I wanted a wagon and the Short wheel base Seat configuration was was not acceptable. My choice used a different set of variables. Both outcomes are Valid. I also think that 200 to 240 hp in this van would be a lot of fun.

Micro Camper Conversion 2015 LWB XL

If you are in a dry enough climate the work pretty well and use much less power. The one I was refering to is 12 volt and would work well in a TC camper with limited power resources. If you have the power AC is better. -
I have used that method lots of times, on lots of cars. The lay out is tight and transmission drain is very easy to get to. You need to be under the TC to check the level.

Did you ask for your commission

Sounds like a great fit for you. Welcome looking forward to reports of your adventure

Have you tried to gently push in on the lift gate while pushing the key fob? Also try pushing the unlock button while a second person bounces the lift gate. Now that the gate is open does the lock opperate?

Micro Camper Conversion 2015 LWB XL
G B L replied to Torton's topic in Accessories and Modifications
The job keeps getting better and better. The vent you put in the roof makes AC unit an easy install. If you camp in the summer in the south west, there is a 12 volt evaporate cooler (Swamp Cooler) that mounts in the 14X14 vent you put in the roof. I think a light trailer that is in the slip stream for the extra gear would be what I would choose. -
Fifty 150 you have the cool button, we will have to pull ours apart to see if the harness is there for us.
-
Fifty 150 you are lucky I Wish that I had the simple version. I wonder what the harness in there looks like.

Very nice job the progress is impressive . Looking forward to the finished camper. Where's the first destination ? -
The problem with the TC traction control is not at speed. when the traction is low and the traction control should act like positraction it cuts the power to almost nothing. At speed it acts as Iit should.
-
With good tires the TC is just fine in the snow, not all weel drive good. The traction control algorithm was written buy someone who never had to drive up hill in the snow. Find out how to switch it off in the info center and be ready to turn it off. The resonator is no issue in the snow.

Mine is built in. Knowing how to use the side mirrors is more important.

The first set of winters are Continental winter contacts. I have a general preference for Nokian winter tires and that what the next set will be. My last set of Nokian's were made in Russia

Thanks for the up date

I am agreeing with you. If you spend enough time operating at 5000 feet and above with a limited hp engine then the Turbo (which does not have a hp loss ) is the power plant to chose. If you are not at Altitude the extra cost is harder to justify

Considering Transit Connect - Gen 1
G B L replied to kxrf's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Owner Impressions
The ones I have, I Fabricated . They are low to the ground and extend inward at least 12". The Material I used is a Rubber belt material. Flexible and Rugged. The Road Debris comes off the bottom of the tire and hits the Rocker panel over a foot behind the wheel. Find a Dirt road in The Vast wilderness outside of DC on a Rainy day Take a drive and look at the Spatter. You will be able to put a straight edge from the wheel to the rocker and see how low the flap needs to go. Any thing less will not do the job.
