  1. Most of trailers here have only have combined brake, tail and turn signal lights. The harness adapters for sale add power and combine the light functions. The 7 pin connector adds 12volt power and electric brakes.
  2. Here is my full write up 57600 miles the Rear Continentals were down to the Wear bars. The Continentals went about 42000. Replaced them with a set of Sumitomo Tire HTR A/S P02 Performance Radial Tire - 215/60R16 99V load index. The first impressions are very good. They were round and easy to Balance not needing much weight . The handling is comparable . The TC seems unaware of the 3% increase in the circumference. The Speedometer is 2 MPH low, no issue for me. The ride quality is noticeably better. While I was there the Rear pads were at 20% and the disc's were rusting (dirt roads and winter salt) . New Pads and rotors , (Rockauto $11.85 pads $14.56 ea. rotors )The brakes are now back to new. The front brakes are at 50 % so they will go further.Time will tell how good the tires are. It was originally posted in How many miles on the stock tires
  3. That is the same thing as the guys that use to run the Amoco (106) or the Sunoco 260 (103)
  4. I have no negative issues at all so far. No lift and carry 400 + lbs in the back and just finished a 400 mile run with a 1500 pound trailer. I like the results a lot.
  5. I will have to check my copy this week end. The purchase key only works for a day or two after I bought mine from Factory manuals.com. I did multiple downloads to several computers. I is a good PDF,well worth the money
  6. I am with you on the wheel size but for the ride quality. Keep us posted include pictures.
  7. All of what you post is on target. I wonder how much time is spent testing the ABS logic in snow and freezing rain?
  8. I put the 215-60-16's on the TC . The result has been very good , no noticeable drivablity issue's and a very noticeable ride improvement
  9. Sounds like you have a good plan. If you go thru with the project I would like to see the results. My TC has fog lights and they are unremarkable. If you have good results it would raise my interest.
  10. That was a great post I gained a lot of info. ABS is a mixed blessing it helps maintain steering control at the expense of stopping distance.
  11. That will give lots of info I hope you post the diagrams. I have to say I am a aftermarket person so I never considered the Ford towing equipment. The harness adapter I used was a Curt unit and was plug and play with the added power lead to the right rear fuse box.
  12. Great report and looking forward to the next set of pictures.
  13. I will look forward to your progress. My TC did not come with a trailer package so I opted for a Curt hitch , wiring harness and mechanical sway control. I regularly tow 3 different trailers that go from 1300-1800 lbs. The towing performance has been very good. The sway control is especially good because it reduces the sway, rather than making the TC out think the trailer. The other added bonus is the Curt Receiver is flush to the rear bumper. Having Brakes would be nice I think a brake controller would not be too hard to wire if the need does arise.
  14. I can't say anything about the compartment . The head lights are done according to DOT Rules so we can blame them for the head lights
  15. It won't hurt did you get the front one ? Welcome aboard!!
  16. Nice photo It was under twenty at Partsgeek when i got mine Click to Enlarge (Read reviews) Our List Price: $18.08 Part Number: 127062-05383185
  17. Nice Job. The fan is made for a travel trailer so it is plenty big enough for your TC.
  18. If you go to Ford UK and get to the parts section the whole thing is most likely available
  19. I am dyslexic wait till it is dark and park 25 feet in front of a wall or garage door and you will know what to do, that is how I adjusted mine. Living in an area that has lots of wildlife on the road it is nice to get the light out further
  20. Here is the link to the Thread on that panel and what they do in the EU http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/5243-storage-compartment-above-instrument-cluster/
  21. I have a TC with the swing doors. My view has always included the rear bumper. I use mine for towing a lot and I use the camera to line up the hitch so the view of the bumper is very good. If some does find more focus options that would be very nice.
  22. Before you panic raise the headlights with the yellow adjustment screw under the hood . It will make the headlight range much better.
  23. The only way to get the data on mine (2014) is having a good scanner with live data. It is in the Body Control Module
  24. Very nice job. The vent size is an Rv industry standard, there are lots of Ac units fans and evaporate coolers that will plug into the flange you put on the roof.
