  1. the nuts should be no issue, My 2014 Xlt wagon has alloys and the supplied spare is a steel wheel if you can access the parts site it should bed easy to get the under car tire lift assembly. Or you could buy the one mrtn will be selling when his Propane conversion is complete.
  2. Thats excellent. The fact that it is at the regular fuel stations means it is treated the same way as gas and diesel. The tank size will mean close to the same range and if both are used double. really looking forward to the install and the road test.
  3. Ford..com is the us site, when I go to Ford Eu and go to Estonia My comand of your language is not what it should be so I get lost but you might find the parts break down there.
  4. Is your TC a Van (head liner over the seats only) or a Wagon full head liner
  5. Looking forward to the install photos
  6. Neat, Is your access to propane easy? How do you handel the road tax? How big is the tank? The price of propane here not low enough to make the conversion worthwhile Maybe in the Midwest. The major reason for propane fuel is engines that run indoors and Auxillery Generator sets, where the fuel does not spoil
  7. I saw a picture in the Uk site. I assume the one in your rig is the same. Because it is not avaliable here the parts book we see does not have it Can you get the parts break down on your ford site?
  8. Well at that price difference it will match diesel for cost with performance close to gas. very nice. propane does not have much lubricant in it but the turbo rated valves should be be up to the task. how much for the kit?
  9. You are just showing off now Very nice. If you can see if there is a parts break down for that compartment in the parts manual. Thanks
  10. I guess Ford learned a lot about tires from the Firestone tire thing . Great Post
  11. That looks like a great rig. The liquid propane would work very well in a direct injection system. Is your cost for propane that much cheaper than Petrol ? The high octane of the propane would allow the computer to maximize the power. What to they say about the total performance. Keep us up to date on your progress.
  12. Unfortunately for us here in the USA we do not get this feature. Too bad for us
  13. If this is not too late. Replace the receiver drier at the same time as the system has been open
  14. Hey mrtn tell Me about your LPG device
  15. Nice. I put a Curt hitch on mine . It went on in 30 minutes and did not require any disassembly . It came from E-Trailer . They also had the wiring harness adapter. Take some pictures of your install
  16. The battery compartment on the Gen 2 TC is small The battery is sized and configured for the application .. Most batteries have three numbers that tell the story, cranking amps, This is the cranking power at 32 degrees f, CCA or Cold Cranking Amps, Cranking power at 0 degrees F, and Reserve Capacity, This is the long time draw down capacity of the battery. The third number is the one that tells you how long it will run the electronic cooler. When looking for a replacement battery the larger the reserve capacity the longer it will run accessories. Agm or Absorbed Glass Mat batteries Have more reserve Capacity , cannot spill and are generally higher quality. They come with a premium price. the charging system voltage is more critical to these batteries. Deep discharging of a standard Automotive battery will shorten the battery life. A deep cycle battery will hold up much better. When switching to a Deep Cycle type battery up the CCA rating at least 20% to make sure to have enough cranking power.
  17. My 2014 is closing in on 30000 and there is no issue yet. With a sealed bearing, the bearing life depends on how well the grease seal keeps the water out. Hopfully Ford has Improved the seal quality.
  18. Towing through Kansas can be hard on towing mileage going both east and west. It seems like it is on the nose when ever I have pulled a trailer through there.
  19. Great Job It will very interesting to see the project progress. good Photos. Have you Retired and moved to Missouri? Congratulations on that!
  20. The other cars I have had the Trac off is a button. If you make a habit of turning it off it is not a big deal, however when you are in a situation is is nice to have a dedicated button that you do not have to look for.
  21. Go to Ford.com the USA site and download the US Manual most of it should be the same and it might have more data. Here is the link to the outfit that I purchased the factory manual for my rig. Very complete and cheap not sure if it will work for you but it is Vin Based and should work . Let me know if it works. http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/4402-does-anyone-have-access-to-a-2014-transit-connect-repair-manuel-pdf/?view=findpost&p=12396&hl=%2Bfactory+%2Bmanual
  22. Thanks, The Traction control is controlled through the information center and the left button set on the Steering wheel. It takes several button pushes to Scroll to the Traction Control . Figure it out before you need it . If there were a button it would be much more convenient . I do not have access to the EU owners Manual. Here is what My Manual says Page 125 2014 TC owners manual.rtf says
  23. What is the wrap material like and is it heat formed . I would like a few more Pictures . The Roof seem color is very nice. I know it is summer for a while but you need to look at the owner's manual and learn the procedure for switching the Traction Control off. It will surprise you the first time it engages. It is not a pleasant surprise.
