Good luck, if you don't that one has every thing else including the tow package and the 17" wheels and a nice grey. You will enjoy the 1.6 Turbo more than the ford touch. I found a few more also. Keep us posted -

I am with you , There are several XLT and Several XLT premiums on this coast in good shape. You have one thing in your favor. Your training in the use of an unreliable vehicle will help with the always exciting first long trip home with a newly acquired used vehicle. Keep us posted on your hunt and your project. -
It will be interesting to watch. The Toyota Sienna is available in AWD here , the Honda and Chrysler are not . I wonder what the numbers really are. If Ford does not offer this option in The Uk or Eu mrtn's neck of the woods then the numbers must be weak. What some very clever folks do with a small group of TC"s qualifies as most interesting. Unfortunately the numbers make it a enthusiast offering that will be found in the Summit Racing of Jegs catalogue. Look for the AWD package to be available in Moab Utah next Easter.

All of what you say is true, except that I was mis-lead, This is not a performance vehicle by any stretch of the imagination regardless of the engine involved. You would be right about the 2.0 ecoboost it would be a game changer, but they would need a different transmission. The all wheel drive would also be interesting. The sales numbers of this model are fairly low in the US as a result the offerings are limited You are Very correct that Ford does not have a great interest in You as a minority buyer in a small volume model. The (2.0 ecoboost all wheel drive) drive train is already available for this TC if they see a demand. You folks need to let Ford know that is what you want in numbers that will get them to move.

I think that the fuel and performance difference is small and most of the people buying wagons are not not the people that Turbo on the door is the deciding factor. I think that In my case I like this vehicle as much as any enthusiast. But for different reasons. Here the difference is 178Hp vs 169hp. In mrtn's case it is 120 vs 95. 5% for us 20% for mrtn. The one with 95hp does not need cruise control because it is in the corner all the time!!

Just a thought Depending on the intended use for the van . As of 2011 the XLT Wagon had side glass, and the XLT Premium had all glass. The passenger models also have a full headliner which makes them much quieter. There are quite a few on the web, The small inconvenience of a trip now might pay large dividends down the line. To even more muddy the choice the Gen 2 Wagons slider door windows also open -
DVD player install, other little things
G B L replied to Jacob Sheppard's topic in Accessories and Modifications
Today's car wiring is done Remotely , the switch you push tells a module that something needs to be turned on. The software can make inputs from lots of sources control the components operations . The fact that you have an Titanium model gets you even more computer input. You are dealing with the software engineers Ideas of what is important. Nice Post Looking forward to the whole install. -
Very Nice! Check is in the mail

G B L replied to Bret1197's topic in 2014 Ford Transit Connect
The hardest part of this operation will be getting the TC Jacked up. Should be almost level . Remove the Under body dust shield . Look for the Drain Plug. 11 mm or 7/16 wrench. ] This style funnel will slide down into the Vent plug you just removed Put 3 quarts of fluid in [attacjpg] ] Run the TC for 5 to 10 minutes . Then drain the fluid again. Repeat this 2 more times You have Now used 9 quarts of fluid. Put the Drain plug back in make it snug this time. Add 3 quarts of fluid You have now used 12 quarts. Go under the car and Look for the indicator plug (14 mm wrench) Loosen the plug. Do not remove yet Start the engine with the engine running and the Car in park pull the plug and add fluid into the funnel until it just drips out the Indicator hole Replace plug put the Dust shield on , Pull the funnel and replace the vent cap. Total Fluid 13 Qts. With most of number 13 left There is no filter to change on this operation and the type of fluid is Mercon LV. Have fun! -

trans drain and fill for 2014 TC w/2.5 L 6 speed auto
G B L replied to Bret1197's topic in 2014 Ford Transit Connect
26132 on the clock Time to check the Left seal weep on the TC. The weep is there but is not changing or getting worse. Change the fluid while I was under the car. Put 12 quarts total through the gear. The fluid is nice and clear now, This Transmission works the fluid hard, I think that the sever service mileage should be used . I Like this Van very much but I am still fuming about not having a transmission dip stick. -

Sorry to have to commiserate with you as you sit at the dealership. The fix that windguy had done was the seal the left axel bushing and a new inner CV joint . that seem to be the fix that has the best chance of working . Make sure the dealer does it that way. The paper work pictured includes the kit. Good luck and keep us posted

Could be, yours is a diesel, The Ecoboost 1.1 is gas, a 25% mileage difference from the beginning . If the VW was a 1.6 Tdi getting 52. then 52- (25%)=39 MPG He is right there.
