  1. twinankhs Looks like the Tail and stop light bulb was installed incorrectly or the socket assembly is faulty. If the stop light is on as a tail light it could over heat the socket. That should be an easy fix for Ford. Welcome to the forum
  2. Good info, If when you call ford and give the reference number that gets the parts person to the mirror section. Then the descriptions of the different mirrors will allow the Parts person to find the correct numbers for the Actual mirror that you want to order.
  3. On the Parts diagram the whole Mirror Number is 17682 the yellow square shows what parts come with the mirror , The Trim piece in the front and cover are separate. The mirror cover comes in a black standard color and one that is primed to be painted. The major issue I have with the small mirrors is the Blind spot element should be on the bottom inside corner of the Mirror. Being on the outside and high it does not show the side of the TC for reference .
  4. Here are two Pictures of the roof structure from the Parts catalog . I am not sure if there is a side curtain air bag to worry about, 103west43rd would have more information on that. Hope this helps
  5. I think so. Northern tool has a very nice looking one in the Trailer section for $799.
  6. Cosworth you are spot on . The Load floor extension covers the foot well for the second seat
  7. Lovely, Nice finish. The only Problem that I would have is the 800 lbs of stuff that would always be on top of the hatches if that was my TC!
  8. The Max trailer for the US version is 2000 Lbs with a hitch load of 200 Lbs. Even with the trailer load rating taken from the European Tourneo Connect which is 2640 with a hitch load rating of 260 Lbs The load you are talking about would be almost 600 Lbs over hung load. Even with Stiffer Springs or helper's the handling would change quite a bit. I would think long and hard about doing this.
  9. That's a great question, The other question is how well the unit is made, how long it lasts and how much fuel it would save. As for the intake I have not messed with that yet. The most effective mileage enhancer is keeping my ego out of my right foot.
  10. Sounds good , the lift contact area of the supplied scissor jack is very small so the seam and the rocker panel must be pretty strong. The jack is very unforgiving and if it does not meet the jack point right it will deform the channel. The biggest problem is mud and road salt and debris that gets past the fender liner and infiltrates and then rusts the rocker box compromises the rocker structure and then the jack collapses the box.
  11. The tax here is so much a gallon so the heaver your foot the more you pay. The big thing here was the grave damage to one's Green Credibility . As for the EPA it is more the rules are the rules!
  12. The Rocker seams at the arrows are reinforced to handle the Jack loads so if the Lift pad is centered on the arrow the seam will take the load until the internal rust weakens the rocker panel assembly. The Gen 2 also has a plastic rocker cover that will be damaged if the Jack pushes on it.
  13. Then it is Ok? Then no symptoms until the next start? Did the dealer have the symptoms happen with a scanner hooked up? What happens if when you turn the key on you cycle the Switch a second time to start it?
  14. When it is shaking are the Rpm's the same as after the accelerator is pressed and released? As the electronic throttle is taking the place of the IAC then the resting position for the throttle plate could be on the low side and could cause a low Idle How long will the shaking continue if you do nothing? Mine did the same thing once on a quick restart so I will have to pay attention.
  15. That good info, But here if the Map was changed from the factory map for the car then you have still crossed the line. It was a better joke here, because the whole remap is much hotter as a news story.
  16. I can"t speak for the Gen 1 but the rocker panel has arrows embosed in them for the rocker Panel lifting points on the Gen 2 Clear as a sunny day.
  17. What year TC? was the Trans new Rebuilt or used Sounds like the rev counter is not pluged in or has failed .
  18. When it shakes what are the RPM's, Just a wild guess, The Idle air control is too low and when you have your foot on the brake it is causing the computer to raise the idle. Stepping on the gas will do the same thing, once the revs are good it is happy. You might also check the, Spark plugs if they have not been changed. keep us posted.
  19. Hey I hear that VW is really good at remapping cars maybe they could do it
