  1. E-Trailer will have a listing, I have the Curt Version on my Gen 2 , It is a very Nice Hitch and fit Perfectly . Make sure to get the harness kit for the lights.
  2. I think that most of the TC's in Europe that are towing are the Diesel version, Not sure that the 1.0 EcoBoost Petrol would be my choice for pulling. The EcoBoost 1.6 here has a lower Axel ratio than the 2.5, to make more mileage for the 1.6. This must make the large number of Lawyer's at ford nervous. In any event there are lots of After market hitches available.
  3. The access is from underneath, behind the wheel well and the Bulb is the same as the low Beam.

    Oil Level Issue

If the oil level is too high the rod caps can dip into the oil and this causes oil to mist. Two things can happen. The cylinder walls are over oiled and the oil goes by the rings. The second thing that can happen is the oil gets full of air bubbles and this can affect the oil pressure. The only thing I can think of is with the cap off the the oil draining from the head is slowed down for some reason,
  5. Ford got the memo about the folding seat for the 2014 TC XLT Wagon
  6. Remove the Glove box and it is visible on the right side of the heater with the removal of 6 screws You might have to pull some plugs on the Electric box if so disc the battery
  7. Hear is the Number and the Parts book Picture for the element Ford Price is $24.95 Transit Connect Part Number Rear heater element.txt
  8. If you were making the TC a camper van, then you might want to have AC at a camp ground . With the Size of most roof top ac units you could also use it to convert the Tc into a freezer to preserve the fish you caught on your Vacation. One to two mpg would be my guess.
  9. Nice I have to police the water and Ice on mine when I bring it in for work. At least the Mosquitoes were pretty slow this time of year.
  10. Thanks for the info, Then the reason might be they want you to pay for the option. And I will have to look for the service button and see if there are any goodies I can turn on
  11. I think that the dealer does not to be the one that allows the window to close on the Neighbors child with you inside the house.
  12. I think it has an effect on the wind noise for the second seat. The 3m Adhesive will solve it for good.
  13. How far north in the eu? 3 out of 4 will do , good luck with the filter, can you get the TC inside? Windguy your gas price takes into account the extra charge for the Great SoCal weather
  14. All of that is good for the engine and Cylinders. The transmission on the other hand has ton's of plastic parts . This engine also has a large plastic rail that the timing chain rides on. Plastic is very different when cold. The 2001 Impala (Aka Winter Driver) is north of 251000 on the clock and still has the first transmission. It won't be the premature engine ware that will make me have to retire my old friend it will be rust!
  15. You and I are with in 4 degrees of latitude. I think that even though you do not need a long warm up for the engine to run well . All the plastic parts parts in the engine and Transmission benefit from the warm up . When it is 15 degrees or colder the gas is not wasted on the warm up. Over the life of the TC the gas cost will disappear compared to a premature engine or transmission problem.
  16. There is a black plastic radiator shield and when that is removed the head light has a couple of screws and a push pin all from the top should be fairly easy. I checked the headlight bulb replacement before I purchased mine . I have a Malibu that is a 3 hour ordeal to change the bulb. Now one of the first things I do is check the headlight replacement when looking at a car. Should be easy Good luck Was the Pheasant Good?
  17. Nice Chart, I can see a link between the price and the weight of your foot with the usual winter penalty !!
  18. The first thing you need to do is to check the level of the oil in the Transmission. there is a 14 MM bolt near the left half shaft and with the oil hot and the engine running with the trans in park or neutral oil will just drip out the hole. The only time a transmission fails from a leak is when there is no oil left. The Transmission oil level is easy to ignore because it is not easy to check and the bottom guard is black and porous so a drip would hide pretty well . Reppik is there any resolution to your issue?
  19. Well that ends up being a good thing. Good for you that the pump they replaced lasted long enough and did not leave you on the side of the road. I think that one of the Car dealer seminars that all car company's have is Mumbling 101.
  20. Nice , Not sure the low plastic air dam stuff would last on my dirt road in Mud season!!
  21. Thanks looks very nice I would have liked it if it had fit my van, Good Pictures . The design looks very nice. All companies tend to compromise the end product by saving money with the choice of materials. Thanks again for the post
  22. The filter under the Drivers seat is a second filter it is the intake for the rear booster heater, and there is a second Ac evaporator to help the rear air conditioner . How was the front filter to change?
  23. The average for mine over 23000+ miles is 25 and 26, with a 1-2 mpg drop in the winter. So your estimate is right on the money.
