The Sea foam is also a Injector cleaner, sounds like some water or the E10 had started to phase separate and you filled your tank at just the wrong time. Keep driving . Have a great Holiday. keep us in the loop.

Put a Bottle of Sea Foam Fuel treatment in the tank and take it out for a ride. If it is water then MDR WaterZorb or E Zorb will take the water out. Good luck and Keep us posted.

You did your part on the service , I would love to know how low the Transmission got when they checked it at the Oil changes. Big Company's seem to lose sight of the real issues and assume the customer is trying to get something for nothing. They should have full Re-manufactured units ready to go, having a dealership shop doing this job is asking for trouble Good luck, keep us posted P.S worked on lots of Astro's . Not the easiest to service but A Tough truck

Hope they step up soon and put a full reman in. How often Were you Checking the transmission fluid level? Was the hard shifting taking place before the seal was replaced. I have 22500 on mine in 11.5 months so you do spend alot of time in your car. I think that the Transmission has to be checked every 4 to 5000 miles. Because the fluid check procedure is not totaly easy, it is likely to Be ignored at the oil change . If Ford does not get a head of the seal issue it will turn into a huge problem for them keep up in the loop

Cool sounds like the right answer. The bearing is really hard so if the carrier would wear before the bearing. I am sure that the new one will clamp the bearing tight let me know!

Anti Hijack (speed sense locking)
G B L replied to chatts1969's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs & Remote Start
I have a 2014 LWB XLT Wagon, it has remote lock, unlock. The doors do lock when you start moving. Does your Van have keyless entry? -
If the out board bearing is mounted on the engine then the only way that could come out of the trans if that carrier bearing slipped on the half shaft. Did the right shaft come as a complete unit? Is there a circlip grove on the inboard side of that outboard bearing? Can you get a picture of the axel and the bearing the parts diagram is not detailed Hope this gives you some idea
-
Great news, The drivers side half shaft is very short. Any binding of that side coupled with a high torque load could move the engine enough to cause a shake. An added bonus is you got a fluid change when they pulled the shaft for replacement . They might have reset the transmission shift program also.

2015 TC xlt LWB inverter installation
G B L replied to sean's topic in Accessories and Modifications
1000 watts is 83 amps at 12 volts, 6 ga would be the minimun 4 ga would be better. the inverter will be happier with bigger wire. Remember you will need to make the ground as big as the positive supply. Keep us in the loop! -
2015 TC xlt LWB inverter installation
G B L replied to sean's topic in Accessories and Modifications
A 1750 watt inverter is 14.5 amps at 120 volts. At 12 volts the inverter needs 145 amps ten ga wire is no where big enough to handel the load. Even with a second battery the Alternator will put out over 80 amps trying to keep up. if you do run a wire from the front battery to the house battery fuse both ends. -

OEM Trailer Hitch - Gen 2 TC

You must live in California! If you ever get the TC to vermont I will take care of it for you If you do get it cut off make sure you save the part. I am sure that somewhere in Ca there is a welding shop that can do the Job for you that will be more than strong enough to handel a 2000 lb trailer with a 200lb vertical load. I like the scrap pile there is alot of great stock for endlass prolects. Keep us posted on your search -
That sounds Like a good Call. Make sure you Fuse both ends of the battery supply. with a battery at both ends of the wire it is needed for safety

Sounds like your plan is coming together. When I lowered the tire to check my hitch clearance I saw the second cable . There is a long history of the lift cable on the under hung tires rusting and the tire dropping into the road . This leaves a nasty surprise for an up coming driver . It also is a bad surprise for the car owner when they have a flat and have no Spare. It is a good change. I drop the Spare at least once a year to lube up the lift winch and cable. Harbor freight has a very nice light small Aluminum floor jack that I keep on-board . it makes getting the car up much easier and when put under the hitch frame the spare comes right out. Can't wait for the pictures
