  1. Okay, so we all have an idea of what a "bro" truck is. How do we turn a Transit Connect into a "bro" van?
  2. You were in ;perfect position for a PIT maneuver. Should have taken him out.
  3. Install a hidden safe. Great if you need to lock your wallet & such while you're surfing. Maybe stash your handgun.
  4. Has anybody found time to drive around with ForScan running? Just curious if you guys have found any useful information, tips, or tricks. I set up a few monitors today. Wanted to see what a ScanGauge II would show me. Kind of neat. But driving and looking at a laptop is not the best option. Better to have a partner.
  5. Every bit of tech info is appreciated. It could save the next guy.
  6. Same results. No gains in horsepower or mileage. No problems either.
  7. From being in a position where I was getting 2 to 3 new windshields a year installed on my Econoline @ work, I can tell you that the stuff in a caulking tube which installers use is fantastic. I never bothered to ask about it, or ask to see the label on the tube. But I should have. They squirt that stuff into the channel, drop the windshield in place, and it sets perfectly.
  8. Front wheel drive Ford Taurus were sold with trunk lid spoilers.
  9. Barry Manilow & Joe Montana had a kid together. Clay Aiken
  10. Thanks for the tip. Maybe you can post photos of the pages you referenced in the manual. Help the next guy who does not have the book in front of him.
  11. If roaches & insects are a concern, you could dust with boric acid. Won't hurt you. It looks like you had the perfect opportunity to add some Dynamat I would have gone the cheap route. Spray foam and carpet tiles. Looks good. Good job.
  12. I thought that everyone knew, that I only lie about owning a F-150. It's really a lifted Camaro. And I drink New Coke versus Old Coke.
  13. Owners manual gives the spark plug gap range as: 0.049-0.053 in. If you buy iridium spark plugs, or the e3 style, the manufacturers usually say that you do not re-gap. I was skeptical at first. e3 have been in my pickup truck for about 6 months now, and they work fine. I may try them on the Transit Connect. In most cases your Iridium Power plugs do not need to be gapped. ... Should you decide to re-gap your Iridium Power plug, use extreme caution as improper gapping may damage or destroy the Iridium center electrode or porcelain center. Spark Plug Installation | DENSO Auto Parts densoautoparts.com/spark-plug-installation Automotive spark plugs have a unique three-leg ground electrode and the powersport plug with its unique ground electrode are pre-gapped at the E3 factory to meet the O.E. requirements for the vehicles they are listed to fit. Do not attempt to change the gap. Frequently Asked Questions | E3 Spark Plugs https://e3sparkplugs.com/faq/
  14. Always good to reach out on more than 1 platform. I'm sure that one of these guys, maybe one of this forum's moderators, would love to do that with you. Maybe you can cross pollinate the 2 with tech information.
  15. I looked into my toy bag. I'm hoping that I have the right combination of extensions and spark plug sockets to do the job. That big piece is a deep well spark plug socket, for engines like Transit Connect with deep wells & coil over plug. I've got a couple of different swivel spark plug sockets in different styles. A few extensions, a swivel, and a finger spinner. I've got a couple of spark plug sockets without the swivel, in 3/8" & 1/2" drives. 1/2" in case I need the torque to break it free. Not so crazy. Some people do that. Some people clean the spark plugs also.
  16. The synthetic blend in a 6 gallon box is a lot less money. $40.99 https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8121044&jsn=12 24 quarts. That's good for 4 oil changes, plus a little extra for topping off between oil changes. For some people, that can last 4 years.
  17. Most likely, you will have holes leftover, from where you removed mounting hardware. Floor mats will cover them. And you will have to drill some new holes to accommodate the new hardware.
  18. Herb would flog me in the town square, for the stickers and loud muffler on my Honda. Herb is probably not a Fast & Furious fan either.?
  19. I hear that with lighter weight, the RX7 beats Mustangs with the same 302. Lots of exciting mods and builds out there.
  20. Not economically feasible for me. Same money could be spent on a faster car. But I get it. That's why aftermarket parts exist. I remember guys throwing VW diesel engines into a Suzuki. And Ford 5.0 crate engines in a Mazda RX7.
  21. Agreed. Such a luxury to be able to look over your shoulder, and actually see.
  22. Nice porthole window. My only reservations about products like this, from overseas and a brand unknown - is strength & rigidity. A big chance to take if everything is not as strong as it should be. You don't want to be the person to find out that a mounting bolt corroded & stripped, or it just collapses because your ladder or kayak was too heavy. Looks good. Your cargo van without a headliner must have been a lot easier to install. Did you take any photos of your own install?
  23. I think the seat mounting points will be different.
