  1. I think that there could be several good locations depending on the Camper build. If an AGM is on the pricey side then a sealed battery would also do. The biggest concern is the protection of the Positive and negative connections. The Possibility of a major league short circuit must be avoided.
  2. Yes it does. So I guess I will have to make my TC Last.
  3. I already own one of those, never again! So when it came time for the TC I checked.
  4. The reason i first looked at the TC was the Barn Doors, All the other small passenger vans did not have this option. The second thing I checked was how hard it was to change the headlight bulbs!!
  5. With all the seats folded in the LWB Version the area is completely flat with no gaps if you have the Bench Seat option. The Right side seat folds and slides forward for the Third seat access. If a flat cargo area is important the Bench will be a good choice. I have the Third seat folded flat most of the time for the general clutter I carry, it provides a great wall to stop the forward migration of the stuff.

Looks to be in nice shape. It will be easy to spot at the Mall. What do you intend to use it for ?
  7. If you get a long wheel base wagon the rear fan blows through a second AC evaporator. This makes the ac completely acquit.
  8. I am with you on the snow worthless of the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8s
  9. The hard part of the rack is the Silver rails There are several Company's that make crossbars that will fit the Silver rails. You will find what you need keep looking.Call the Tech Line at thule and yakima. some one there will help you out. Keep us posted on the search!
  10. It could be the pads braking in, or Ford's changing the pad material spec. Be careful about the Dust covers. They will make the brakes run hotter and that could affect the pad life and or the wheel bearing life. If is really is a bother a different set of pads would eliminate the problem.
  11. The Real question before a switch is , Did they put the reinforcing in the door opening for both sets of hinges or are they Vehicle specific. The hinge mounting location are reinforced. The 270 doors would be a nice feature. On the Gen 1 it looks like it is the hinge and the magnetic door stop that would be needed.
  12. This is what Page 134 of my owner's manual say's. I think the rating has more to do with Vehicle stability then any other factor. Maximum Load Weights Do not exceed the following maximum roof rack load weights. Maximum Load lb (kg)* Variant Wagon - short 132 lb (60 kg) wheel base with panoramic roof panel Wagon - short 165 lb (75 kg) wheel base with metal roof panel Wagon - long 165 lb (75 kg) wheel base Van 165 lb (75 kg) *Evenly distribute the load on the roof rack.
  13. Nice Job keep us posted on the Electrical hook up and the Gremlins that you may find
  14. They have been around for along time .In lots of things , as the quality of the materials gets cheaper and cheaper. The use of Cvt transmissions will rise.
  15. Nicely stated MLB1 The sudden loss of traction reminds me of the 1965 Peugeot with the Michelin X tires I had along time ago.
  16. My rig just turned 51000mi, Will do the Trans flush soon. Although you can't change the filter the trans drain plug makes the fluid change easy . 13 Qts will clear the fluid nicely .
  17. Very nice. Where is this journey going?
  18. The wagon came with a very nice back up camera. the only thing I would add is a tiny wiper to keep the dirt off!
  19. The height will not change the reading much. When you do the trans oil change you will see. I am about ready to do the trans fluid for the second time.
  20. It is but better than under the back seat!
