  1. There's no direct replacement. Anything even from Ford lineup needs to be modified slightly to fit the rails.
  2. Looks like they've partnered up with Continental (highest price group manufacturer) as well. I'm going to try Vredesteins next. My friend bought a set of these for his CR-V and the fuel economy has increased by a huge margin (half a litre per 100 km). Naturally, these are for summer only. https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rshop/Tyres/Vredestein/Ultrac-Satin/225-60-ZR18-104W-XL-mit-Felgenschutzleiste--FSL-/R-316403
  3. I once entered a parking structure in a Russian ghetto in our town. It had no height beacon so I entered. Every beam was of different height which got me worried a bit until one moment I head a loud screech and came to a dead stop. I had pinned myself under one. Can't recall precisely but I think i lowered the tire pressure and asked the dumbass that took me there to stand on the rear bumper to lower the car to get it out of there.
  4. You might want to get T220 Connect springs. The van model has significantly lower payload. Mine was 825 kg / 1818 lbs.
  5. You can't pass the annual inspection without it so you can take it out but need to reinstall for the inspection time. Naturally, if you have a camper, it's ok but power tools become fatal projectiles in high-G maneuvers, such as a crash.
  6. Yup, it's mandatory in Europe. You can't buy a van without one.
  7. The cutout is for the original Euro version and is off center thus being illegal in the US. I think the Feds forced Ford to install a new brake light to meet the DOT standard.
  8. Mk1 SWB. Not available in the US.
  9. As I have always said, it means equally bad in All Seasons.
  10. Very likely the wheel bearing. Lift up the corresponding wheel and turn it by hand, You’ll feel and hear the rumbling. Diagnosing tyres is easy, just replace with a spare and see.
  11. You need to ask first.
  12. Many do. And with the ever growing youngtimer restorations these parts are becoming less available. There’s really no difference if tinkering with cars feels good. Sandblasting and repainting your old steelies is more fun than getting a new set for less money.
  13. That was the PowerShift robot box. It’s not good at all. The new 8-speed should be the new regular automatic. @FiorinotoFord, do you know if there will also be the new 2.0 Ecoboost available?
  14. Wait for the 2019 model, should be available soon. It will have the new 8-speed automatic.
  15. You can sometimes get the OEM hubcaps cheap when someone upgrades. Or get the original Mk1 Connect half size hubcaps (full size Transit ones look identical but won't fit) from ebay, which are the best looking ones ever (I lost mine somewhere in storage, worst thing ever happened to me, ever):
  16. And it's for sale: https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/wohnwagen-inserat/andere-neoplan-skyliner-youtube-star-amstelveen/261981536.html?lang=en
  17. It’s linglong term.
  18. Linglong is the best ever. As a name.
  19. I don’t even know how much I pay for the phone but I think it’s around €6.60 with 7GB of unlimited speed 4G data (limited speed after that) and free calls/texts. Plus Mobile-ID, of course.
  20. They have plastic adhesion promoter for plastic parts. Same paint as for the rest of the body.
