Engine wiring damage ... Which cars share the 2.5L engine?
mrtn replied to D A C's topic in Maintenance
I think it's a Mazda engine, also used in the Escape. -
All attempts to do that I have seen online so far have failed.

has anyone got info on 2.0/2.2 tdci conversion mk1
mrtn replied to nomis's topic in Accessories and Modifications
Seen Mondeo 2.2 conversions in the facebook forum. Not a simple task tho. -
Yup.

Have not. But then again, I shop at a supermarket or sports outlets, not specialty shoe stores.

Never even heard of the brand before. Have had just a few pairs of hiking boots (for winter mostly) and these have been hi-tech, not traditional (Columbia, Halti and such).

Finally got it! 2018 TC Titanium LWB
mrtn replied to Tom899's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Owner Impressions
I have picked my configuration and will be ordering a fully equipped LWB Custom Sport soon. Not decided over the color yet. -
That's rusted stuck and you can get it out by turning the bolt until the cable breaks. Then get a new cable.

Alarm sensors.

Need help on my cars spec list, and paint issue, ++
mrtn replied to Norlig's topic in Accessories and Modifications
LESS = without Your body warranty should still be valid if the previous/original owner did the checkups. Fords have cheapo configurations in their window switches. You'll just have to deal with it. Check if you have window open-close from the fob, click unlock ond hold the button for a few seconds. The windows should open (and close) if equipped. Some have this feature, mine doesn't. Double locking is a safety feature so nobody can steal your stuff in the back when you have entered the van. -
I only have one good pair of shoes left, why am I getting double golden toilet seats advertised instead of shoes.

Also, while roof boxes are an item of interest and I've just purchased a portable compressor I've never searched for Trump toilets or Melania stockings:

How does the 2.0L engine tow compare to the 2.5L engine?

Not my quote :D -
How does the 2.0L engine tow compare to the 2.5L engine?
mrtn replied to williaty's topic in Lounge Transit Connect
Towing is limited to 50-60 mph in Europe for most areas, thus the tongue weight is insignificant compared to the one in the US, so you don't need a souped up rear suspension or tow packages for the extra weight or speed. It's a combination of physics and insurance matters. -
Nice! This size is so close, I doubt the pressure is any different.

Fun fact: there no punctuation of any kind in OP's post.

Fun fact: Custom is the best selling _vehicle_ in the UK period. And the best selling van in Europe. It's aimed at the same segment as American pickups but for van people. The big Transit is a basic van with huge plastic surfaces but Custom is just nice just like American pickups.

Ford to cancel Transit Connect by end of 2023

A PHEV with a 68 mile EV range coming up: https://www.topgear.com/car-news/first-look/new-ford-transit-connect-a-plug-hybrid-van-68-miles-ev-only-range -
It's about the size (or a bit bigger) of VW Transporter and the new Transporter will actually be a rebadged Custom. Just a tiny bit smaller than the smallest "big" Transit. I did contemplate getting the first generation Custom, which looks great and is very spacious but the driver seat position is too cramped for me. The new 2024 one is almost perfect. I am seriously looking into getting a DCiV (double cab) PHEV.
