  1. I have not heard anything bad about the 1.6 Ecoboost turbo. The 1.0 is a bad one, yes but that wasn't available in North America. Mine's working overtime due to LPG but I have yet to hit 100K miles.
  2. Belt replacement is coming up in a year anyway so go for it.
  3. The LV fluid darkens very quickly.
  4. Right. My post doesn't make any sense without the L0stNTransit's/t0astervan's comment that had been deleted.
  5. You can only drain a part of the fluid by conventional means. Drain and fill 3x (with a short drive between the procedures) will get most of the fluid replaced, only a bit of old fluid remains.
  6. Not really. I have a $13 ELM327 (Bluetooth, wasn't compatible with iPhone at the time, needed Wifi) and it works fine. Better check the FORScan fora if there are specific issues with any of these adapters.
  7. The second generation pre-facelift Connects like yours have a 6-speed automatic called 6F35 which are shared with many Ford (and GM) products, you can also follow 6F55 tutorials, it's the same transmission but beefed up for larger/more powerful vehicles.
  8. Is the red immobolizer led blinking rapidly during the failure?
  9. 6F35 transmission is designed to use Mercon LV/Dexron VI (or 100% compatible) fluid, nothing else. Both work fine as these are the OEM products for this transmission and are cheap. There is no need to go searching an alternative fluid unless it's a supply issue.
  10. It's absolutely essential to have the metal roof insulated in a camper.
  11. 2010 has a different trans. There are plenty of videos in youtube showing 6F35/6F55 drain and fill. It's very easy when you have the long neck fill tool to reach the fill hole.
  12. I too have looked for this information and mostly they claim it's good for 150K miles/10 years but there's no way I would stretch it like that. Pun intended.
  13. What if one of the wheels is not standard but of a different offset.
  14. Not at all. It sits on top of Focus/S-Max bits, both considered among the best driving cars.
  15. That's what I meant, perhaps the lane keep assist interfering but if it's off then I would start by checking the tire pressure.
  16. Does it have a lane keep assist?

DPF? You need to take it to cleaning service.
  18. Yeah, unfortunately I don't have the luxury of losing the middle seat or the fold down seat back for carrying longer items. I use the bulkhead pass-through door regularly. Recaros look tits tho.
  19. No that's just a random image to illustrate what I'm talking about.
  20. No, you can't grab the piston with any kind of pliers. The piston has two little eyes the keys fit in. Someone told me that after I failed to replace mine. Will try again this summer when the weather gets warmer.
  21. No, done it without numbers. Note that you need parking brake release tool for the rears.
  22. It does not affect anything on a highway trip with a cruise control on. Most cars have these behaving identically. Main ways to raise the fuel economy is to numb the gas pedal to limit your input and smoothen little micro movements. Lowering shift points and delaying kickdown etc.
