  1. You must have thought we had ran out of stupidity in the world by now?
  2. I doubt there even were any. I'm pretty sure the models manufactured for the US to be stripped of seats for cargo conversion were airbag free.
  3. The Tornado is a joke like a fuel magnet or playing classical music to your drinking water. Do not buy one, ever.
  4. The original van does not have the filler floor piece. The cargo floor is in one piece. It’s a converted wagon if there’s a filler piece.
  5. I love the converted trailers but all look tongue heavy.
  6. Thanks Don. I dont particularly WANT to do it but I might.
  7. The funnel was included with mine. Did you check the “secret” compartment in the back?
  8. This exact thing happened to my connector as well. I did buy a new resistor pack just to discover a molten connector. The resistors were good. I refurbished the connector with some spare contacts and it remained working till I sold it.
  9. Do you remember if the wire boots were easily accessible to run heavier cables through? I have a pair of new 2-way speakers left over from my Corolla project but they require a lot of power to run (won’t budge below 40W RMS) so factory wiring is out of the question. Experienced this with Corolla’s stock wiring and a 2x55W amp. Just a squeak, no actual music power at all.
  10. Disallowing American companies importing their own products from overseas factories tax free is really counter productive. There is no point of tooling every factory for producing every single model. It’s obviously logical to produce the Connect in Europe where the main market of that body type is. Just like there’s no point of producing Mustang in Europe where it’s a rarity in parking lots and streets.

    3 front seats

Lap belt is out of the question as the shifter is right in front of the middle passenger. I have the seat back in down position for 99% of the time and it creates a wide armrest with a "desk" and two cupholders like in big pickups. There's also a cupholder in front of the middle seat just south of the shifter and next to the handbrake button. There are storage compartments and AUX socket under the middle seat as well. It's true that it's only good for three skinny people. Luckily I have retained a 34" waist throughout my life but anything over that is a tight squeeze.

Should be a simple bolt on for the seats but I don't know about the seatbelt. I can make you some pics of the floor mounts.
  13. Great stuff. The 6F35 is a simple trans to rebuild, watched some tutorial videos. Like a LEGO set so if the tech follows the instructons it should be good as new.
  14. EPA test figures are beatable as it’s a more real life scenario. You can never beat or match NEDC figures as it’s a lab test designed to get into The Guiness Book of Records.
  15. 3. Euro brake light is just two screws and the wire. Pretty sure the wire is already in place as they use the Euro model for the conversion.
  16. The current hybrid tech is very much different from the first generation of hybrids. You can even go at highway speeds in EV mode only and take short trips in the city without ever firing up the combustion engine. It’s the perfect stepping stone towards all-electric without the range anxiety and need for another vehicle. The new Camry would be ideal if it were available in STW format. Sedans are retarded.
  17. I would give me left nut for a Sienna and this guy has just disabled it.
  18. This can be done if and when there's enough interest. It was amazing to see a block heater post next to every single parking spot in Finnish towns when I first went there early 90s. That's because the need was there: it was cold in the winter and everybody had a block heater. Which is a bit circular but you get the idea. Once the electric cars become more common the residential area owners will see the economy in setting up chargers on the street (which can also be used to run cabin heaters in the Northern territories).
  19. You can remap the EcoBoost version for significant power gain.
  20. Weird. Never lost one. Apart from the misplaced small caps.
  21. D is the "eco" mode with some power limitation. S gives full power and sportier shifts.
  22. My dash display is accurate in the range of 0.1-0.2 liters/100 km compared to the fill-up method. Which is pretty good, IMHO.
