6MT or 6-speed PowerShift dual clutch automatic. 2019 will see new 8-10 speed autos.

IF this is the 1.5 EURO6 emission engine we have in Europe then it's been market for a couple of years already and there really haven't been any serious complaints over it, unlike the 1.6 diesel.

Insane mileage :O I have the same cluster and CC indicator is also there.

Because you would not know if there's moisture behind it and if positive then there's no way for the moisture to evaporate/drain. Enter: rust.

We’ll probably have some breakthrough battery tech in a couple of years which rids us of the environmental hit of today’s scale.

Hybrid is a bit of an economical gimmick anyway. It's more like a feelgood product for people wanting to make a change and support the development of hybrid/electric technology. Electric is already plenty for city folk. In colder climates I see hybrids idling on gasoline all day because you can't turn the engine off because of heating needs. Diesel is great for long distance commuting, not so great for city environment.

There are plenty of top notch (pun not intended) conversions here, spend some hours browsing. You can get sliding side windows from taxi scrapyards.

Caddy is considered better than Connect, usually. The new ones look quite nice as well. The VW plastic is not my thing tho, or the seating position. You say 2012 onwards? Or do you mean 2014 onwards (the new shape)? The first generation was in production from 2002 to 2013 with two facelifts (bar grille in 2007 and the surprised bunny bumper plus new dashboard in 2010). 1.5 diesel and 1.0 Ecoboost petrol are considered to be the best engines for the new shape in Europe. 1.6 Ecoboost is quite rare as many markets did not introduce it at all, including the UK.

You shouldn't spray PU foam anywhere in the car, ever. Old school rust proofing following a good clean and drying helps with road noise. Something thick and heavy, tar like substance.

You're less likely to find an answer here as we're here for the Connect only.

Sure, it's half way around the world tho: http://infoauto.ee/ It was the same guy who told me they performed shift actuator fork diagnostics and it shifts fine, the last time I was there. So I told him there are no shift actuator forks in 6F35 (facepalm).

Simple deduction would indicate the dealer being a dummy.

I was at the dealer today to schedule my third service (46Mm in) and asked when would they do the transmission fluid change. “It’s a lifetime fluid, changing it might make it worse.” You dummy.

We didn't have seat belts, remember? Well, at least the bus my Father drove did not:

Dry carpet cleaner spray + vacuum?

I went classic. You could call them base modelish, but I wanted to make sure they're strong and from a reputable manufacturer as I sometimes ride fully loaded and a thin spoke wheel may fail a pothole, so I ditched the original idea to get a fancy replica wheel.

Pretty sure my dealer tells me there's no changing the oil and never will be. I'm at 47,000 km.

I have just gotten 9 years out of my Toyota's original battery. It still had plenty of cranking power even in deep freezing temperatures (we got down to -20C (-4F) this winter) but leaving the doors open for a couple if hours drained it to the point of no return. Getting a new OEM one tomorrow.

I wouldn’t buy anything more complicated Russian made than tar mat. That’s about the level they perform without screwing it up. Seen it up close for way too long. Unless you need the mat for your roof, a Russian product will probably leak and spontaeously combust.

Most of the EU market pizza vans are worthless as personal transportation. The Connect being one of the best in the bunch, up there together with VW Caddy.
-
Front doors, wheel wells. It's not perfect tho as most of the road noise comes in from the suspension as it's a rather simple McPherson setup.

We have different trim level designations in Europe apart from Titanium which it's only available for the passenger wagon. The work van (including crew cab) trim levels are Ambiente (base, meant for fleet I guess), Trend (mid level) and Sport (mid level, manual only). Seen all kinds of configurations, including navigation, automatic climate control etc. My sales guy explained that the actual configuration is up to regional distributor who can come up with whatever trim combination they can think of as long as they allocate and buy it from the factory.

True, but try that in a snowstorm at -20 degrees.

I guess you're not. Call for roadside assistance or smth. I'm yet to buy a booster battery with a fixed wiring with a plug for the time a surge is needed.
-
It’s not that easy to check the level on the road.
