You can do this with Forscan (free) and a $65 adapter. But there is a small possibility it may not work on the 2020s.

What is the horn device in cargo area?
Don Ridley replied to Camper's topic in Accessories and Modifications
The horn is part of the anti-theft package on European models (the FOE on the wiring diagrams is the Euro designation, FNA is for North American models). See the attached diagrams. The alarm is triggered by the Body Control Module. If you currently don't have an alarm function, it can easily be turned on in the BCM. There is another alarm horn with an integral battery under the hood (if equipped). None of these horns are on my US model TC. My alarm system uses the regular horn it appears. anti theft horn.pdf horn location.pdf- 9 replies

2020 TC Cargo Sync 3 Touch audio upgrade
Don Ridley replied to RoadWarrior's topic in Audio, Navigation and SYNC
Here is the Forscan f150 spreadsheet. See the ACM tab for available options. Don't bother with the other tabs and settings. They DON'T work for the Transit Connect. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uDSQ1Z5a2Wt8-kjrSiVSlDFGFHnfeuhb3RTMVz95730/htmlview# -
2020 TC Cargo Sync 3 Touch audio upgrade
Don Ridley replied to RoadWarrior's topic in Audio, Navigation and SYNC
You can change the ACM configuration with Forscan. I think there is a common base unit in most vehicles. This ACM can be configured for multiple speakers along with other options. Changing the configuration will change the screen interface also. Features like HD radio and satellite radio require a new ACM. The one configuration I needed that did not work on the base ACM was turning on pre-amp outputs. This only works with the upgraded Sony unit. -

It's a horn. I don't know why it is there. https://www.fiammhorns.com/12v-vehicles-without-air-supply/FIAMM-930069-HK8-L-disc-horn-set- 9 replies

Check a local salvage yard. You can rebuild your existing assembly if the replacement one fails. I did this on a Subaru after first spending hours pressing new bearings without the proper tools. The new bearings failed too soon. I bought a used knuckle for about the price of new bearings. Used knuckle was ok after 50k miles.

The connector in your photograph is C240A on the ACM in the wiring diagrams. Here are two more diagrams that will have the rest of the C240A connections identified. Look at the label next on the wires going into the ACM to find the C240A pin number. The pin numbers are on the plug (your photo) and the connector on the ACM. I don't have a simple view of the connector with each pin identified but you should be able to identify each wire and pin from the set of wiring diagrams. ACM_2 wiring diagrams.pdf

Turn on all interior lights (2016)
Don Ridley replied to Don Ridley's topic in Accessories and Modifications
If I remember correctly the dome lights turn off with the dimming "theater effect" by slowly bringing the ground connection up to 12v so the light has 12v on both wires. -
Hill assist / traction control / ABS brake / warning light on
Don Ridley replied to Bart Luther's topic in Work Solutions
Google those codes. The first two are problems with the system voltage. Easy way to monitor voltage is with a cigarette lighter USB adapter with voltage display. Your scan tool will also measure the alternator voltage and current. I would start with those measurements and monitoring.- 9 replies

Transit Transit Custom Transit Connect or Toureno Connect These models are often confused. Congratulations on your new van. I think starting with the passenger version is a good idea unless you are going to use it solely for industrial purposes.

I think you need an AGM battery. Here is A detailed discussion: See my posts on page 2. Install an AGM type battery. Your TC does not have the battery monitoring system so that does not need to be disabled. If you do a lot of short drives followed by long periods of waiting with power on you may need a second battery. A good charger by Noco or Ctek will help. You can configure a plug to connect the charger without opening the hood.

Dim headlights, high beam switch won't stay on
Don Ridley replied to ArtCFartC's topic in 2002-2013 Ford Transit Connect
The behavior seems like the lights are "off" and you are seeing the daytime running lights only. Can you turn the lights off? What about parking lights?- 6 replies

I did not see the odometer write function in the latest Forscan version, 2.3.33. Where is this function located (which module?). Can you please show a screenshot of it?

Yes, the new cluster will show the mileage from the donor vehicle. The general consensus is the mileage is stored in the cluster and somewhere else (like the PCM). But Nobody in the Forscan community knows for sure. Forscan only shows the IPC (cluster) mileage. Since the mileage is close, I would not spend the money to change it. Just make sure you note the difference when you sell the vehicle so you don't get accused of fraud. Remember, to remove the panel above the cluster you have to pull straight back....NOT up. It will pop as the clips release. Enjoy your new cluster!

Wiring Harness Burned Out
Don Ridley replied to ewysocki's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
I was going to suggest LED bulbs but they need to be high quality with adequate cooling otherwise the constant use will kill them also.
