The Barn Doors were the thing that made me look at the TC wagon, if that goes away I am out. One other plus is a radio with dedicated buttons that I don't need to look at while driving.

The wheels are at the corners on this rig, if you have any kind of a load the wheels will spin in the rain on a up hill start.

No mater what you do you cannot change the physics, If you have x number of cubic inches at x RPM you get a certain range of HP and torque. The only way to make a big HP improvement of Hp at the same RPM is to supercharge or turbocharge the engine.

Old guys like me use pellets because we don't have the energy for the real fire and we want to eat barbecue often. Marinated chicken tonight!
-
The fuel is real wood and it does a great Job, each to his or her own!
-
Yes they do I had salmon and stuffed mushrooms on the Rec-Tec tonight!!

Looks great, We had a great Ham I did on the Pellet smoker, on the 25th.

The only issue will be if the floor has the threaded inserts in the right place. If not then the bolting points would have to be added.

I cut every filter I change to drain and separate the paper from the steel The Wix and Napa are very well made I like the spring better than the stamped steel spring plate . I am surprised at how the Car Quest looks so I might get one of those.

I just shows that there is not much new in the Car business .

Good comparison, thanks. I think that all the filters will do an adequate job if the oil is changed at regular intervals and good oil is used.

i am not sure that any production cars have them in the US any more. It would be available on industrial equipment. I would expect that you could find one as a option on a 4 wheel drive utility vehicle destined for delivery in some dessert countries. The install is harder now that they are trying to funnel the air in from out side the under hood area.

The engineers do a pretty good job sizing the air filter. The only time when the flow is compromised is when the element becomes very restricted . The Oil bath Air Cleaner is more expensive to put on the car. If it is well designed it is easy to service and maintain. It is much better than the oiled gauze K-N style.

Nice thanks for that -
Nice Ranchero ! A 300Hp Crate motor would be cheaper for her and make that rig plenty scary . if you get the Chinese jack that the Chinese would work under it most likely be ok. The Crappy Jacks that would kill you were imported for sale by an American sales man!

The plastic grid between the wipers covers the cowl vent if the water path gets blocked for any reason then the water will flood into the heater air intake and end up in the passenger foot well.
-
Not sure of the wire gauge, but if you check other posts in the 14-14 vents have been installed and some one made a plastic vent base to deal with the roof ribs.
-
If you have a heavy trailer you might use the S mode to keep the TC from going into 6 gear.
-
If you go to the wix website you can find all the relevant filter cross reference information , size, thread size , gasket dimensions . anti drain-back info, and bypass valve pressure . This is the way I get under my TC

I am not a fan of building access to the NSA into my vehicles! -
This gearbox has a shift learning process, if you have access to a good scanner you can reset the shift relearn settings and the trans will relearn the shifts.

It is inconvenient,, but better now then in 2 weeks.
