  1. That could help, you can also lubricate the transmission end . You can also disconnect the cable at the Transmission end and see if the levers are stiff .
  2. That is one reason I would wish for a 2015 that would be great!
  3. If it is a Gen 2 use the steering wheel switch to go into the menu and shut it off , you will have to do this every time you start the car. I shut mine off all the time. It is not so easy on the Gen 1, I think you have to pull the ABS fuse.
  4. This is what the shift cables look like. The lubricant that you spray on will only get to the ends, it may help
  5. That is a cable shift transmission linkage and it uses 2 shift cables to move the gear selectors inside the gear box. One of the cables has lost its lubrication and needs to be replaced. We do not have Manual transmissions in TC's here. We have the Focus which is the same. It is enough of a job that if you do one you should do both.. Before you take it apart have your mechanic take the cable off the transmission and move the shifter to check the friction. If the shifter moves freely check the transmission shift levers to see if they are binding. If the levers move as they should the cables need to be replaced. Let us know what happens.
  6. If you use the lifting Jack as a Jack Stand then you get crushed no matter where the Jack is.
  7. If you want to really clean the Trans you need to exchange the fluid 3 times and that will get all the fluid. I have done lots of towing with mine and the cooler on the trans holds the fluid temp fine.
  8. You need to start the engine with the hood open and just watch the motion as the engine warms up . See if the motion changes, if it does then turn on the lights and heater fan and see if the motion comes back. This would add to your information.
  9. Where I live if the car does not break in half in 5 years because of rust you have a good car!!

    Fuel Gauge

Yes that should work. As I think about it the fact that the gauge is stuck on full could be an indicator that it is the gauge.
  11. There are lots of cars here with Run flat tires so to allow the spare tire to be deleted. I have not seen a No Spare TC. It could be an EU thing. If you get on a Ford Parts seller with a Manual you should fine all the parts and maybe a listing for the whole assembly. Hope you find a solution. Let Us Know
  12. Is the vibration when the engine just runs or does the TC have to be driving. Check the Alternator, it works hard to bring the battery back for the first 10 Minutes.

    Fuel Gauge

With a Scan tool you can sweep the gauge and see if it is the sender or the gauge.
  15. You are flushing the torque converter, that is where all the fluid is that does not drain out. Just running the engine will flush that and 3 times will get most of the old fluid out.
  16. Remember we are the world leader in Covid Deaths!
  17. Does that mean the tires? If so they should be put back on the balance machine..
  18. There is a weep hole under the Pump pulley , sounds like you found it , Great Job.
  19. Did this issue start before or after the tires? If after check the balance , and Make sure the Lug Nuts are tight. let us know what you find.
  20. If the gasket at the water pump was leaking it would leak a lot.Sounds like a pressure test is needed to see where the Antifreeze is coming from.
  21. You can use this it gets injected into the intake after the Mass air flow sensor , follow the directions carefully. It can help if there is some deposits.
  22. Yes there is a shaft seal at the water pump on that side of the engine. Does it leak when the engine is running?Does it leak when the van sits?
