Yes try and keep the sparks small! -
Here is the location. What ever Scantool you get make sure it has Ford Specific live data.
-
You better have Health Insurance!
-
As long as you only work on Fords great solution . If there are more brands in your fleet You have to suck it up and get a Scan Tool,
-
Ok does the scan tool you hooked up have live data?

If that ever happens again, Disconnect the battery for 2 Minutes and it will come back to life even if it needs a boost. -
Grinding/ knocking feeling through the floor
G B L replied to Aaronsim19's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
We don't have Standard TCs here, but The motor assembly for the electric power steering rack is on the other side of the foot well where you are feeling the grinding. The Van needs to be lifted and the dust cover needs to be removed to look at the steering rack. The only fly in my theory could be how the lay out of the rack on a right hand drive TC could change how the rack looks. Still I would pull the dust cover and have some one look at the rack assembly while moving the steering wheel. Keep us posted . -
Thanks, Very Cool. What engine?

You can stay, Pictures?

That took me a while to find but definitely helps, wish it was a button it would be better. The adding a switch would be a good solution for the gen 1 so ABS could be operational most of the time.

True enough but Our bugs are smaller and no Kudzu.

2015 connect limpmode/loss of heating/ coolant problem

That should be easy to confirm Keep us posted. -
Take a look at this Thread It has a lot of good info. http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/473-traction-control/

Remember Your TC is at the high end of the Load Range of the Transmission .
-
A good Scan tool will allow the ABS data to be viewed and recorded. If the ABS light goes off after a short drive View all the wheel sensors as you start to drive, see if they all start to transmit at the same time. Just replacing modules is very hit or miss and expensive. Don is correct.

Mine is a Gen 2 I have run these they work pretty well. There are several threads on how to switch the Traction control off in your van, you need to find them because in deep snow it will make your TC terrible in the snow. Once I figured out how to switch it off My Snow performance was greatly enhanced.. This vehicle will never be a Subaru . Have you tested the mount out side the car with power ?
-
The most important thing is to stay south of Virginia and your brakes will last and last.
-
Some times you need an OEM part and noting else will do, good to know. Thanks for the up date.
-
Any chance the brake pedal is not fully returning to the rest position?

2015 connect limpmode/loss of heating/ coolant problem
G B L replied to Ash Vince's topic in 2015 Ford Transit Connect
Has the Mechanic put a pressure tester on the cooling system and then started the engine? If there is a rapid rise in pressure then a head gasket is indicated. A combustion Leak tester is a very good test -
One way to do it would be to find a cargo van with windows that never had any of the Airbag equipment at all.
