  1. Mine is an XLT Passenger also. If you are not sure about the Dealer pulling the light is easy and checking it with a booster pack is even easier. Then thee answer will be clear and if the light is bad then you already know how to change it. Mine tested good and mucking with the plug cured the issue.
  2. The scan tool allows check the light and increment the brightness. Once you pull the light , test its operation with test wires and a booster pack.
  3. Clear the codes , Good scan tool or forscan, Test ride . Recording data from ABS Module Keep us posted
  4. Pulling the light is easy and you can test it to make sure it is bad. The connection at the light is the weak link. A good shop with a scan tool can definitively handle it. The brightness is also adjustable.
  5. Nice The 6.0 is a great simple engine. All of mine sit outside so a non issue for me.
  6. Under stand that. Hey take your time just the right deal could come up. A raised roof would be stellar for loading bikes.
  7. Into your vehicle hall of fame it goes. Is the Express new or used ? If new did you look at a Transit?
  8. This site sells very complete PDF versions. They match the Vin of your TC https://www.factory-manuals.com/ford-transit-connect&28&164
  9. When the TC is dead on In the parking lot some where inconvenient the positive post is the fastest way out. The sparks I was talking about are those when you hit the cowl with the wrench in the heat of the moment!
  10. Here is the location. What ever Scantool you get make sure it has Ford Specific live data.
  11. As long as you only work on Fords great solution . If there are more brands in your fleet You have to suck it up and get a Scan Tool,
  12. Ok does the scan tool you hooked up have live data?
  13. Could the AC be on? Sounds like a scan from a scan tool is in order .
  14. If that ever happens again, Disconnect the battery for 2 Minutes and it will come back to life even if it needs a boost.
  15. We don't have Standard TCs here, but The motor assembly for the electric power steering rack is on the other side of the foot well where you are feeling the grinding. The Van needs to be lifted and the dust cover needs to be removed to look at the steering rack. The only fly in my theory could be how the lay out of the rack on a right hand drive TC could change how the rack looks. Still I would pull the dust cover and have some one look at the rack assembly while moving the steering wheel. Keep us posted .
  16. That took me a while to find but definitely helps, wish it was a button it would be better. The adding a switch would be a good solution for the gen 1 so ABS could be operational most of the time.
  17. True enough but Our bugs are smaller and no Kudzu.
  18. Take a look at this Thread It has a lot of good info. http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/473-traction-control/
