If the gasket at the water pump was leaking it would leak a lot.Sounds like a pressure test is needed to see where the Antifreeze is coming from.

You can use this it gets injected into the intake after the Mass air flow sensor , follow the directions carefully. It can help if there is some deposits.

Yes there is a shaft seal at the water pump on that side of the engine. Does it leak when the engine is running?Does it leak when the van sits?
-
Sounds like a good road trip with a good scan tool or forscan would tell you alot.

Remember the 1.6 is subject to Intake valve carbon deposits because it was an early Direct Injection engine and there is no cleaning action of the fuel being injected to wash the intake valves. This condition is known to cause a cyl miss condition. How many miles on the Tc? If it comes and goes it could be that. There are several videos on that condition, check it out.

When this happens what do you do, How long does it take to clear? Have you seen the data stream on a scanner?

A Scan tool will tell all

This with the right thermostat will work well . Make sure to do a good job on the 14X14 Vent install so there are no leaks. If done right it will take up less space inside the micro camper. Take a lot of pictures of the build.

Here also, Rear side glass also can be ordered also. The only issue is the wait.

You also need to find some one to install a custom set of flaps be behind the front wheels to protect the Rocker panels.

Have they looked like that from the beginning? If so something is wrong . the helper spring looks to be stuck in the compressed position and is not doing any work. -
If you get the head off and the pan you can get the pistons out . If you put the right piston in it should run fine. Once you have it apart check all the cyl and the injector re-code should be doable .

Lots of brakes, because of lots of salt. A couple of batteries, and 2.5 sets of tires , and a set of plugs and oxygen sensors Regular oil changes and 4 transmission drain and refills . 103000 miles so far. The real question is do you feel Lucky? -
No the head has to come off.

How long does the charge last? The water leak is a plugged drain in the evaporator box . clean out the drain and the water will stay out. When charged how does the AC work?
