  1. Haven't used mine either. My Toyota has really clever cornering feature called AFS, the front lights turn together with steering.
  2. Still haven't checked if my fog lights have the cornering option.
  3. Probably because the barn doors models are based on the cargo version. I guess that's the origin of the difference.

    What goes here?

Apparently there's a TRAC OFF button for the base model with no LCD screen. Which we all should have, actually. The checkbox deep in the cluster menu is retarded.
  5. Getting there. You might want to try carabiner clips (for ratchets) on the hooks if they fit. Less hassle.
  6. My EcoBoost's normal schedule is 25,000 km (15,600 miles), I will change at every 15,000 km (9960 miles) and be done with it. My old DuraTorq's (turbo diesel) normal schedule was 20,000 km, I changed at every 15,000 km until I sold it at 300K on the clock. It did not smoke or consume a drop of oil when I handed it over (the oil level dropped about 3 mm on the 15 mm cross-hatched end of the dipstick during this 15K interval, which is normal for a driven in engine driven at normal load). So I have done with all my other modern cars (old-timers running dino oils excluded). All but my first Soviet POS have been good with oil (used Mobil dino oil in it mostly, got a full crate of it cheap). Full-size Transits have 50,000 km (31,000 mile) oil change interval in Europe. Modern quality oil can take a hell of a beating before the molecules start falling apart and losing their lubing characteristics, I just change the oil before the recommended time because I'm a car guy and it feels good. K&N or any other foam filter: that's a REALLY dumb thing to do for your daily driver. Go ahead in a track day toy if it feels any better. Because physics. Change your fiber filter in time if you feel restricted. These are designed for the required air flow up to the redline. Motorcraft is just Ford's own re-packaged brand for outsourced quality anything. You can get your oil from any well-known manufacturer, I have been using Mobil, Valvoline, Motul, Liqui-Moly, BP, Texaco (just went to check my garage shelf for leftover cans). Just make sure to get a quality filter, OEM, Fram, Purolator, Wix, Bosch or any other well-known brand is good.
  7. I have always used ratchet belts and be done with it. Takes a minute to fix. Tried bungee cords as well but too much give even when maxed out. I use 3 straps but you can do it with two as well. Then again I have the cargo version so I have 6 sturdy attachment points.
  8. Good info, thanks. I have some issues with my factory HU, such as sometimes missing sound from the speakers, fine after the next engine restart, sometimes phone buttons on the steering wheel don't work etc. The dealer "reset" the head unit but it didn't fix it and considering their sub-par performance servicing my old TC I bet they will not fix it at all. So I might need to go aftermarket some day.
  9. Correct. In the old days we needed "we" for a person with disability to get around.
  10. While you're at it: spray Tectyl wax inside the bottom edge of the door to prevent condensation to cause rusting there.
  11. K-cars are awesome. Nissan Cube is my favorite.
  12. Ditched the Michelins, too soft. Bought Kumho KW31: Hard enough for warm weather, it's now around freezing point (+4..-4°C), good directional stability, defined center point. Come snow.
  13. Rear hatch variants with seats are named Tourneo instead of Transit in Europe, no other differences. Seats + barn doors are Transits. No other differences that I am aware of.
  14. Front wheel is easy. Rear wheel is difficult and greasy.
  15. These are just standard spacers with the added convenient easy installation with no need to drop the strut tower. Extremely expensive for what they are.
  16. "Hey, wanna show Transit Connect manual conversion on TV?"
  17. For longer drives you can pop the rear quarter windows open manually but it's not that conveninent.
  18. Oh, it's perfectly adequate for that. It's quieter and more crossover-like compared to the previous model. Still quite far from a passenger car. Just did a 5 hour round trip the other day, switched to my Toyota station wagon to pick up the kids and felt a big difference.
  19. It's low 40s here, I think I need to ditch the t-shirt and find a jacket.
  20. Much of the noise comes from the undercarriage, I think. I have a rigid bulkhead but still noisy.
  21. Amazing difference within the same country. I guess they excluded Puerto Rico.
