Interior mounted bike rack
mrtn replied to Don Ridley's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Towing & Upfit Packages
Front wheel is easy. Rear wheel is difficult and greasy. -
These are just standard spacers with the added convenient easy installation with no need to drop the strut tower. Extremely expensive for what they are.

For longer drives you can pop the rear quarter windows open manually but it's not that conveninent. -

Oh, it's perfectly adequate for that. It's quieter and more crossover-like compared to the previous model. Still quite far from a passenger car. Just did a 5 hour round trip the other day, switched to my Toyota station wagon to pick up the kids and felt a big difference. -

It's low 40s here, I think I need to ditch the t-shirt and find a jacket. -

Much of the noise comes from the undercarriage, I think. I have a rigid bulkhead but still noisy. -
Mine was $10, I think, but it's the same one. I have only tried it with a Nexus phone and a tablet, both work.
-
I have the same one, ELM327. The price is just ridiculous. It shouldn't be that cheap.

The old model is one of the best FWD winter cars I have ever driven. Plenty of ground clearance and somehow it never loses grip in deep snow. Never got stuck in snow once in the 10 years of ownership.

Agreed. You can make one look like a military van. There have been some builds here. One relevant thread:

Welcome. I think it was the member named chong who did the hitch install himself. He can probably guide you.

2014 TC Rear Wiper Not Working
mrtn replied to Beta Don's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
My local dealer (the only one, sole importer for Ford) is also terrible. I'm amazed they're still in business. Had my old diesel TC running bad. Went to the dealer, they read the codes and charged €65 for it. Told me to find a diesel shop to work on it as they have no idea what to do. -
Here's some more info on Mk1 wheel size combos: http://www.wheelfitment.eu/car/Ford/Transit Connect (2003 - 2013).html 225/40R18 would be the max size for your wheels.

Just checked, not sure if it has a brake controller. Need to re-check.
-
Oh, missed that one. It came with the factory hitch package, €345 total.
-
No, it's the late Toyota Pickup in the US. Ranger sized.
-
No, my cousin's Frontier. Now replaced by the new Hilux.
-
Yes, it has the 13-pin connector with brake and vehicle stability control.

Is the lawn mower yours? Looks professional. Moar towing ability:

I think you need to use .m3u format playlist.

Just found the heaviest single trailer I successfully towed with my Mk1, this particular scissor lift from Ramirent, 3000 lbs: Really unstable. Much worse than my light trailer at 4000 lbs due to the high center of gravity. Yet to overload my new Connect.

Here my plastic one, collapses vertically:
