Great idea, I was just thinking of securing mine today once I get the garage empty and can start working on logos and such. It's been discussed here before and some members have made their from aluminum composite board. I'll just go with 5 mm PVC board and silicone it to place.

Bikes aren't that practical for commuting IMHO. I always ride in full gear and this means you're sweating whenever stationary and need to change at the destination.

The new TC turn circle is double of the old one's.

They should've ditched the moulding completely or made it for US plate only, Euro plate would have covered it. But then again, it would have looked even sillier then with no front plate attached.

All cars have a steering lock but it only locks at an angle, never straigt ahead. If you need to have the front wheels straight then use a couple of ratchet ties to lock the steering in place. Don't overtighten it, just enough to hold it in place.

Seen it in C-max but not in the new Connect.

Mine's a cargo van, so the seat belt upper mounts double as coat hooks.

I remember the old Taurus having numerous troubles with the transmission range sensor, ie the switch on top of the tranny telling the ECU which position the gear lever is on. It was made of poor quality materials and the copper powder from the worn contacts was all over the sensor causing shorts and wrong readings etc.

If to use this just as a switch for aux lighting, sure. I doubt the beam adjuster knob would work.

Does it engage when going downhill? Might be out of breath, stuck air filter or something.

We discussed this in another thread. The Euro switch includes the rear fog light and headlight angle adjuster knob. They ditched both for US market. No point of swapping it.
