  1. Rubber mats for 2014+ Transit Connect. I brought these back from Germany where I had them in an long-wheelbase van with a manual transmission. I think they fit a US model, but I'd prefer if you bring your van to pick them up to avoid any issues. I'm in SE Michigan and would rather not ship them if possible.
  2. Hatch Mount Thule 973 Backpac Rack with 3rd and 4th bike add-on. Fit kit 18 for 2014+ Ford Transit Connect. Technically only rated for 3 bikes, but 4 light bikes is probably okay, but regardless, the 4 trays are nice to space fewer bikes farther apart. I brought this back from Germany and I don't think Thule ever sold this model here in the US. 2 clamps have locks/keys. Manual included so you can set it up properly for either Ford or Nissan. I really don't want to ship this due to the size and hassle. I'm in SE Michigan. J_Westy
  3. A case could be made that sliding toward the steering wheel isn't safe either. Maybe you're a 5th percentile body type? Me..., I'd add spacers to not submarine under the steering wheel in a crash.
  4. Well, I came out of a Fiesta ST 6-speed in the US into the 1.5 diesel 6-speed Grand Tourneo Connect. I would say it's quite good and worth starting with, but for sure I'm not speed-shifting it ;-) For whatever reason it's way better than some of the Ford rental cars I've had over here - Focus, B-max, etc... those might have been 5 speeds though, I can't remember exactly. I'm enjoying this build though! Keep up the posts!
  5. I'm an American in Germany for 9 months. I drive at diesel 6-speed. I haven't really looked for online sellers, but if you're desperate, PM me and maybe I can help you out at my dealer. His English isn't awesome, but we can usually figure things out.
  6. A 3" memory foam mattress "topper" would be nice if you can deal with the space it takes up.
  7. Agreed. It's a pretty small space. A holster under the steering column would be better...
  8. I think I have that on my Tourneo too... I'll take a picture when I have a chance.
  9. Here's why you shouldn't: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/conversions/conversions.html Go for some legit bulbs from a legit source like: http://store.candlepower.com/hesowisu.html

Congrats. We have the 120 PS 1.5 TDCi in ours, and it's been great so far. Let's see some pictures!
  11. The OP was looking for ways to run some aux lighting... Are you saying this isn't worth looking into?
  12. I don't know one way or the other, but sometimes things like this end up not being switches, but just circuit boards, so good luck. Also, there's the Euro headlight switch with extra buttons:
