Make sure you drive both the 2013 Gen 1 and the 2014 and on Gen 2 . Experiencing the differences will ensure that you are happy with the choice you make.

Its All in what vehicle you need for the Job .

Yes it is. There are clips instead of screws.

You have to watch what you are doing with the filter. If it is in a crummy location the wrench allows you to turn the filter the right number of degrees of rotation to be correct. As most of the filters want some number of degree of rotation to achieve proper tightening. What happened to the Dealer install of the Block heater?
-
Yes that would be a good one. Just remember that the cam type of filter wrench only works in one direction. If you want to use it to help tighten the filter it will not work. A cap type or the Plews filter will assist you in snugging the filter up.
-
Correct and if you have a good one the sound should be very good Happy New Year!!

You must need one that grabs the filter from the end. This one works well. https://www.amazon.com/Plews-70-635-Pro-Tuff-Ratchet-Filter/dp/B000BXMF4A/ref=sr_1_44?ie=UTF8&qid=1483216955&sr=8-44&keywords=oil+filter+wrench Or this type in the right size. https://www.amazon.com/Plews-70-635-Pro-Tuff-Ratchet-Filter/dp/B000BXMF4A/ref=sr_1_44?ie=UTF8&qid=1483216955&sr=8-44&keywords=oil+filter+wrench

To add to mrtn's reply at the moment Ford US has no plans to Import this size platform. It could be a nice alternative.

Well while I am thinking you can get an Fm Modulator that will make the radio accept the input as a radio signal here's a link https://www.amazon.com/Shellvcase-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Modulator-Hands-Free/dp/B01KJHWGD2/ref=sr_1_1/166-0129916-1537963?ie=UTF8&qid=1483216330&sr=8-1&keywords=blue+tooth+fm+modulator

The insurance company will have to replace the Heated screen with one of equal capability. The heated after market wind screen would not not be that much cheaper than the OEM one. The sand that is used on the roads around here has lots of gravel in it. The result of which is that Wind screens are only good till the next rock.

What a great trip you have had. The Van has earned its spurs. It is good your near U-tube experience happened after you had completed the TC winter driving training. In my Cross country travels the wind screen seems to be an often replaced Item. Every thing that one designs and builds gets modified after the Idea meets the real world. Great post Looking forward to more adventures.

Have you tried this sequence from the 2010 manual if yes then Oh well, if not then its worth a try. Good Luck Auxiliary input jack (Line in) WARNING: Driving while distracted can result in loss of vehicle control, accident and injury. Ford strongly recommends that drivers use extreme caution when using any device that may take their focus off the road. The driver’s primary responsibility is the safe operation of their vehicle. Only use cell phones and other devices not essential to the driving task when it is safe to do so. The auxiliary input jack allows you to connect your portable music player and play music through the vehicle speakers with high fidelity. Required equipment: 1. Any portable music player designed to be used with headphones 2. An audio extension cable with stereo male 1/8 in. (3.5 mm) connectors at each end. To play your portable music player using the auxiliary input jack: 1. Begin with the vehicle parked and the radio turned off. 2. Ensure that the battery in your portable music player is new or fully charged and that the device is turned off. 3. Attach one end of the audio extension cable to the headphone output of your player and the other end of the audio extension cable to the auxiliary input jack. 4. Turn the radio on, using either a tuned FM station or a CD loaded into the system. Adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level. 5. Turn the portable music player on and adjust the volume to 1/2 the volume. 6. Press AUX on the vehicle radio repeatedly until AUX appears in the display. You should hear audio from your portable music player although it may be low. 7. Adjust the sound on your portable music player until it reaches the level of the FM station or CD by switching back and forth between the AUX and FM or CD controls. Entertainment Systems 24 2010

There are several sets of ramps at amazon that are long enough to allow the TC to get up on them for Maintenance. Here is a Link to a set that would work if you are interested https://www.amazon.com/Race-Ramps/b/ref=bl_dp_s_web_2599295011?ie=UTF8&node=2599295011&field-lbr_brands_browse-bin=Race+Ramps I am in full agreement about the Rear camera in drive , it would be excelent

Or a Machine gun behind the turn signal light. The passenger ejection seat would be nice.

Hey At one point you should invest in a set of chains. I got a great set from E-trailer . They go on in a flash and will provide the added confidence an intrepid traveler needs to maintain their road edge. Safe trip and let every one else do that stuff that ends up on U-tube!!

You have a point, It is a retail operation. The price of the option at the factory is $50.00 for the heater and 2 minutes to install on the engine on the engine line. Once in the car the access is hard and the engine has to be drained of coolant.

Very Nice . If the Exhaust on your 1.6 is like the one on My 2.5 is pointing down on the left side at the rear bumper. If that is the case , Be careful how you park if it is snowing and blowing the snow could build up there and the CO could sneak in at the base of the back door.

Rear Heating Problems, 2014 Transit Connect LWB Titanium
G B L replied to mrgone's topic in Climate Control
Here is what I found in the rear heat issue The other thing I found is that both floor ducts that come out under the seat are not installed correctly and should be checked. The last thing I found on my XLT was a missing jumper duct on the passenger side. The end result was good heat for the second row and fair heat in the third row. The upper vents in the third row are shut off when the rear heat is on high. The Rear control must be on high to maximize the heat. The last thing is to keep the Air filter to the rear heater clean. Hope this helps
