  1. Welcome you will have lots of enjoyment with the TC. I will be good to see your build-out. You will miss the AWD of the 2000 GMC Safari AWD but you will adjust in time.
  2. Are we talking about the fan or the fan works and no heat
  3. Welcome The TC is going to be a good choice . You will enjoy the left slider that will give you much better access. The Power will be slightly less but the Fuel economy should make you smile If your Safari Is AWD you will miss that feature. The new TC does not seem to have any major issues. Which model are you interested in ?
  4. I have a set in both sets of wheels. The TC has a learn mode that you can access and get the car to sync with the different sets of wheels. I have a tpms tool which makes it a breeze. The Procedure with out the tool is not very hard just takes longer.
  5. Good information, The CNG people wrote the comparison it would have been a different bias if the Propane people had been doing the writing. The way your conversion was handled was Ideal because of the low pressure of the Propane fuel. The tank has a much better design and location. The range versus gallons consumed keeps Propane very competitive with Gasoline and Diesel. If emissions is the top priority then CNG is the best. The infrastructure involved with CNG is the hardest of the fuels.
  6. Glad it was not a big deal, with no dipstick getting some one to check the transmission fluid level is a problem . Checking the fluid level being inconvenient process it is often over looked when the oil is changed.
  7. Until the alternate fuel prices make the switch attractive people will use gasoline. The cng is a hard choice .Unlike propane for automotive use is is stored as a high pressure gas. This results in limited range and large pressure tanks on the vehicles. If you are in the mid west E-85 has a slightly better price, but it is still not enough with the power reduction to make the switch a obvious choice. In mrtn's case the Gasoline cost vs Diesel cost make Propane a very smart choice. The availability of a fuel follows the demand if people want it some one will sell it. Propane is available around the US at the hardware store to refill the Barbecue tank at a premium price. There are lots of kits around . Lots of industrial machinery uses propane. It is very clean emissions wise. If you have a home aux generator then propane is the obvious choice due to the fact that stored propane does not spoil over time.
  8. I have the same Alloy's as Spooner. When I purchased a winter set Tire Rack had a good deal on a set of Alloy's almost the same price as a Steel set with hub caps. I am not giving up any sidewall height either. The stock wheels are around 20 lbs
  9. That is very good for you . The AWD would be cool, Ford has the Gearbox already from the Escape . The driveshaft , fuel tank and the Rear suspension would be the engineering cost .
  10. mrtn the new tax is because they are all jealous of your cool rig. i have found that the price of gas and diesel and propane is all mixed up in the relative voodoo of life. Here Propane is cheapest in the mid west, and more available. You are required to pay the road tax if you use it. How close is the cost to the diesel TC.
  11. No the seats don't come out in the LWB, however they do fold completely flat in a flash and that leave's a totally flat surface for sleeping . The Gen2 2.5 liter engine is a big part of the better drive-ability along with the 6 Speed.
  12. It's not a design flaw. Sounds like the left door is not adjusted right and that won't let the right door close fully keeping the Trunk open signal on. if you are not careful the Left door does not latch fully and will give the same result. Good luck Keep us posted
  13. Yes that could be the case I checked the instructions of the heater at the web sight and the element is located down on the Oil cooler hose , Convection would work, I suspect the heater has a check valve to facilitate the flow.
  14. The location of the heater block plug is on the firewall side of block and either the turbocharger to inter cooler pluming or the Air filter pluming are in the way . It will definitely require a lift and a careful mechanic. The one mrtn has found looks interesting . It must have a pump to move the coolant around will have to check it out,
  15. Make sure you drive both the 2013 Gen 1 and the 2014 and on Gen 2 . Experiencing the differences will ensure that you are happy with the choice you make.
  16. Its All in what vehicle you need for the Job .
  17. Yes it is. There are clips instead of screws.
  18. You have to watch what you are doing with the filter. If it is in a crummy location the wrench allows you to turn the filter the right number of degrees of rotation to be correct. As most of the filters want some number of degree of rotation to achieve proper tightening. What happened to the Dealer install of the Block heater?
  19. Yes that would be a good one. Just remember that the cam type of filter wrench only works in one direction. If you want to use it to help tighten the filter it will not work. A cap type or the Plews filter will assist you in snugging the filter up.
  20. Correct and if you have a good one the sound should be very good Happy New Year!!
  21. You must need one that grabs the filter from the end. This one works well. https://www.amazon.com/Plews-70-635-Pro-Tuff-Ratchet-Filter/dp/B000BXMF4A/ref=sr_1_44?ie=UTF8&qid=1483216955&sr=8-44&keywords=oil+filter+wrench Or this type in the right size. https://www.amazon.com/Plews-70-635-Pro-Tuff-Ratchet-Filter/dp/B000BXMF4A/ref=sr_1_44?ie=UTF8&qid=1483216955&sr=8-44&keywords=oil+filter+wrench
  22. To add to mrtn's reply at the moment Ford US has no plans to Import this size platform. It could be a nice alternative.
  23. Well while I am thinking you can get an Fm Modulator that will make the radio accept the input as a radio signal here's a link https://www.amazon.com/Shellvcase-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Modulator-Hands-Free/dp/B01KJHWGD2/ref=sr_1_1/166-0129916-1537963?ie=UTF8&qid=1483216330&sr=8-1&keywords=blue+tooth+fm+modulator
  24. The insurance company will have to replace the Heated screen with one of equal capability. The heated after market wind screen would not not be that much cheaper than the OEM one. The sand that is used on the roads around here has lots of gravel in it. The result of which is that Wind screens are only good till the next rock.
