  1. I have seen a few without side doors but mostly these plain panel units are just cargo variants with a single side door on the curb side. No brakes needed up to 750 kg (1650 lbs) gross weight trailers. Happy to you too.
  2. Most American trucks are bought for showing off over here. It's especially nice to see someone hauling a dino lift or a flatbed trailer with bricks around. I was once sent to pick up a dino lift with my old TC. I specifically asked if it's small enough. "Oh yes, it can be towed with a sedan". I arrived at the rental place and just hooked it up to prove a point before calling in a full size van.
  3. Most insurance packages here include windshield replacement for free (in case it was caused by road debris).
  4. Makes sense, really, it's almost the same size as the smallest full size Transit.
  5. Transit Custom is truck based, about the size of VW Transporter (a notch below full size Transit) with all the little inconveniences that come with such a platform.
  6. Figures. Winter tires are mandatory here, so I know the situation.
  7. Nice. make sure to fix the name, it's Transit Connect, not Transit.
  8. The Butt-o-Meter says yes, the shift points are a bit higher than normal. Also the decreased torque is affecting the shift feeling.
  9. PPK possibly, nothing larger. Then again, the compartment is too far to react quick enough and requires one hand to hold it open and the other to grab the gun, You might want the holster in the door pocket.
  10. My shifts are irregular. Some are silky smooth, some are slow, some a a bit jerky. Feels like a programming issue. For example my friend's ex 2005 CLS never shifted wrong. Not one shift felt off regardless the situation.
  11. Mine's in the middle of the head unit but it's not Sync.
  12. I stand corrected: Mk1 coat hook was integrated to the seatbelt mount. Not in the new one.
  13. Or bad contact. The doors don't work if the switch is not connected.
  14. It's a FAQ: no direct fit, some fabrication needed.
  15. Check the headlight switch first. Probably nothing wrong with the door. Plenty of cheap parts in scrappers.
  16. Remove the headlight switch and check the connections. The window switch lighting is connected to this. There's no bulb in the switch, I think it's a LED.
  17. Not sure if it helps but my 2006 had frequent central locking problems. The module was degrading. The guy who was working on it said the output signal was irregular and did not engage the locks.
  18. Makes sense, I got a quote of €480/€560 (no charger/with charger).
  19. The foldable seat is a thinner and harder bench so I doubt the half leather seats were equipped with the mechanism.
