  1. This is exactly the type of rust that would fall well inside warranty terms. You could not have caused it even if you really wanted to. It's not penetrating rust but it may be a sign of catastrophic manufacturing error such as missing galvanics.
  2. It's all fine and dandy, but my MM message comes on at 18Mm usually (11K+ miles) and I do quite a bit of towing.
  3. Oil is supposed to get dirty. That's what it does, dissolve carbon particles.
  4. You only hear about problems usually. Not many tell that everything works.
  5. CVT is okay. I have had two. Sold the first one (Honda) at 120K. The second one (Toyota) is currently at 120K with no issues so far.
  6. Exactly, I was just going to post that. You could be neck deep in Scheiße.
  7. Which compression are you lacking?
  8. Yes it does. Oil accumulates in turbo tubing and once it popped it threw out everything there was. After that it just smudges the crack (um, heh) continously but does not drip or spray as it's just mist. Anyway, you need to find the crack, start with the flex hoses.
  9. Turbo issues, I guess. How are the turbo hoses? These need replacement every couple of years. Could spray oil from almost inivisble cracks.
  10. Mine was blue so I wrapped it black.
  11. Oh those are some expensive toolboxes. Nice van btw, I have one just like that
  12. In racing flex is just lost energy.
  13. The bottom one is from the Scary Movie.
  14. Yeah, that has no effect in security. First of all - nobody wants the OEM wheels. Secondly - they have all kinds of tools to remove the lock nut.
  15. I thought the Brits were crazy modding their Connects.
  16. 1.8 petrol engines were early 2000s.
  17. True, there's 50,000 mile lifetime written in the fluid brochure. Or 100,000 in normal duty. It's cheap enough to flush according to the stressful schedule.
  18. Now my head is full of Glenn Frey, thank you very much.
  19. Modern alternators may even go as low as 11V when needed and told by the ECU. You cannot measure it to diagnose. I went to an alternator shop when my battery went bad to ask them to measure it. They said it would be cheaper to buy a new battery to rule that out, they would need to remove the alternator from the car to diagnose it correctly.
  20. Tells your navigation system where the satellites are so your navigation system can draw a map of surroundings and route for you.
