  1. Are you looking for protection against bugs and stone chips? You could do without the bra, try stone chip protection film from 3M or Xpel and or a vinyl wrap on top of it.
  2. 2nd and 4th shifter movements are less than an inch apart, perhaps 20 mm.
  3. How many miles on it? TDDi is an excellent engine if serviced in time. The chain is used for fuel pump only. Camshaft is belt-driven. Is the ticking also there when the engine is hot? Sometimes a wrong spec oil may cause all kinds of ticking noises. You need very specific Ford oil for this one. Here's some background info on the engine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Endura-D_engine I'm not sure what do you consider to be close but I can measure my shifter movement for reference. It's true the throws are short and precise clicks like in a sports car. Fun to drive. Wobbles at speed are usually caused by wheel balancing, loose tie rod ends or bad shocks. You should feel a damaged tire at all speeds. No clunks? I have no idea on the vent issue, sorry. If the seal is leaking then just remove and reattach it with plenty of silicone and be done with it.
  4. Might work if the PCD matches. I think these clip on the wheel nuts.
  5. Someone called the up-shift light "fun driving" indicator. I found it hilarious.
  6. Honda also has one that goes from mellow green to dark blue I think. Not sure if it goes red. It illuminates the outer rim of the mid mounted tach. Like a glow. Toyota has a green "eco" led in the dash that either stays on or goes off when accelerating hard or shifting manually and stay in gear for too long.

  10. Yeah, I usually keep an eye on my cars, pop the hood weekly to check for leaks and fluid levels, track the parking spot for drips, check the CV-joint boots for cracks, etc.
  11. Thanks, the box is 6-speed auto, no other options. Pics have to wait until it arrives from another town. Not sure about the red emblem, the new emblem is quite big, thick and at an angle. I have already scheduled the full wrap for 16-18th of May.
  12. The Astro is Thirties technology, it's not supposed to return more than 13 mpg.
  13. Took it to a test drive for an hour. Very nice, made the deal. Probably to be delivered some time next week.
  14. Not exactly, in think the sensor assy includes rain and headlight sensors. There are several elements in my other cars.
  15. Test ride scheduled for tomorrow morning. Me using up my vehicles is more of an accident than a rule. I just like the current van so much that it's been hard to part with it. It's not normal, I know.
  16. I haven't driven it yet. FYI: the 1.6 Ecoboost Connect is detuned to 150 hp in Europe, probably for tax reasons, some states tax the crap out of anything above "slow". Can't buy a wagon version as it's not eligible for tax return in business use. The breakeven point by purchase price in comparison to similar diesel unit is roughly at 100 000 km and it'll take me a few years to get there. Naturally it'll hurt every time you fill up as an immediate emotion of driving a gas vehicle.
  17. I've been thinking of leaving the diesel team for a while. Recently the local dealer has dropped the price of some models they have in stock, including the 1.6 Ecoboost van. Going to make the decision tomorrow. It's dark blue LWB, Trend trim level with a tow hook, mud flaps and a rigid bulkhead, 3 seats in the front, alarm etc. My colleague suggested me getting a Transit Custom instead but I'm not ready to drive a mid-size van, too "business" for me.
