  1. The small W5W type bulb is an European parking marker (permanently on together with other lights), just like the 5 watt amber wire in your turn signal which blinks at 21W. They didn't want to redesign the cluster for US version, I guess.
  2. Aerobar is of an old design, wingbar is the newest. Also, square bars hum at speed.
  3. You would also need cowboy boots for the issue to come in effect. Actually the roof height is an issue for cargo models, The old one was exactly the right height for loading stuff in it, walking inside the boot etc. I need to squat in my new one.
  4. Changed pollen filter? Floor dry? Outside air selector working?
  5. No idea about the sync issue (mine's the base model radio with USB and Bluetooth). You mean your low beam stays on at full power on DRL? Weird, mine's running high beams at half the power. You'll get used to the wires in the windshield. I've had this feature since my '96 Escort, then 2006 TC and now 2012 and 2016 ones.
  6. Thanks. Will be in a week I hope. it's been dancing around freezing temps (with occasional snow) for a month now. EDIT: it snowed in the morning and it's now changed into a full on rainstorm. Just got back from tieing suff down. EDIT2: aaaand it's snowing again. EDIT3: aaaand the studded tire use permission has been extended by one week (until 7th of may, normally due April 30th).
  7. Nice and classic looking, a bit like blender blades. I've just installed my new ones yesterday.
  8. Agree completely. A booster pack is a must for a camper. Every time someone needs a jump start at the camp site, I've been the receiving end myself.
  9. It's not specifically a European thing. All my Connects have 12V sockets on at all times but my European built Toyotas and Hondas do not.
  10. I don't have any besides factory steelies. Funnily enough I have just ordered 16" (can't be bothered with rough ride) Dezent TX graphite for summer tires. Factory PCD.
  11. M-sport Connect has 18" and these look at the limit already: http://www.m-sport.co.uk/m-sport-news/dovenby-hall/revealing-the-m-sport-ford-connect Don't change the offset as it would ruin your wheel bearings prematurely (relatively speaking). Any wheel with a matching bolt pattern and center bore will do: https://www.wheel-size.com/size/ford/transit-connect/2017/
  12. Seen cheap or free rear seats offered several times. In this forum as well.
  13. Heh, this has been a popular topic in Facebook :D
  14. The other problem was people driving an SUV with the stability of a phone booth and 70-profile tires past 70 mph. I leased the Explorer briefly in the 90's, it was nothing to write home about. My full size '93 transit was better on the highway.

  16. Roundabouts a very common over here. They're good up to some specific load of traffic where there's virtually no wait time and you can merge right away. For heavier load you'll need traffic lights and/or multi-level intersections. Unregulated same level intersection is only good for very light traffic. There are differences in roundabout rules in Europe - most countries work by right hand rule but in Estonia the car on the roundabout has the right of way.
  17. The tilt feature is probably designed to work in hatchbacks and sedans. It's almost impossible to clear a "wall" of the size of the van without some extra mechanism. Then again, it's quite easy to remove the bike.
  18. EcoBoost won't help you being dumb. He was dumb as a bag of hammers.
  19. Heh, embarrassed to have been part of one of those moderation instances Thanks for your good company and good luck with everything.
  20. Just saw this pin board: https://www.pinterest.com/richhand/ford-transit-connect-transformations/
  21. I loved my 2006 van and like my 2012 wagon a lot. The only shortcomings I see is the "truckish" feel compared to the new body. Also missing cruise control and some weak bits such as wheel bearings, rear brakes and steering rack. Both generations look the best of vans. Haven't driven the gasoline automatic so don't know about that.
  22. What a crowd here =)
