You mean when turning? No, it ignores the reading when the steering wheel is out of center.

Counting rotations from ABS sensor ring and if one wheel is consistently rotating at its own rate you have a flat tire.

I love generic 5-spokes. Had these once:

I mounted winter tires on mine. Some people enjoy the steelies and you'll get decent money for them if they're in great condition.

Can rear disc brakes be added to a 2010 TC?
mrtn replied to Timbo's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Should be possible as European TC van models (Tourneo Connect) are equipped with rear discs. -
I have no knowledge on TPMS, I managed to get the last one without it. None of my cars have it, the rest have the ABS sensor based tire pressure monitoring system.

14 mm is not that much of a stress even tho the recommendation you're talking about is probably mine. It may rub a bit in full lock as it's more towards inside of the wheel well plus the few mm of added width so it's close to 20 mm closed to the inside of the wheel well.

This is pretty close to what it would be, I guess: https://auto.howstuffworks.com/tweel-airless-tire.htm

Depends on the type and tread pattern. Studded tires are harder and the studs are ticking hard. Studless tires with arctic compound are soft, mushy and quiet. Studless for general moderate climate use (most of snow belt) have medium soft compound and are relatively quiet due to high tech geometric tread patterns.

Transit Connect Campervan - The best TOAD / DINGHY?
mrtn replied to transitseatman's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
I had the cargo van with the heaviest payload (825 kg). There was an extra leaf in the back but I didn’t really experience any extreme stiffness.- 3 replies

My first set of snow tires were used Nokias (without the "n" in the end as they were not marketed in English speaking regions back then) I got from Finland in 1990 (had family there back then). Most of the studs were gone and there were about 3 mm of tread left. They were much better than summer tires but not too good on ice. This tread pattern:

Rooftop pop-up tent follows? -
I think I soldered some standard isolated plug connectors there as I always do, also some heat shrink. Can’t recall, it was two years ago.

You can use either wire with constant power. Make sure you make nice connections so your van won't burn down because of a short.
-
Yes, there is full time power to the screen from the map light (even when the map light is off) but the screen stays off. The screen only turns on when there is power from the map light AND the reverse gear is selected turning on the camera, sending video feed. So the LCD is not draining your battery when these two rules are not met simultaneously (POWER + VIDEO). You can use a multimeter to check which lamp contact has power.
-
I installed my LCD to the overhead shelf and ran the power from the map light assy. The screen turns on when the reverse gear is selected and the camera start sending the picture. It's off when there's no feed. You connect the camera to the reverse light wire. The instructions should be in the box.

Some of it are already well known bloopers, updated: https://www.sadanduseless.com/2018/01/car-ad-failures/ (this here is Finnish, clearly meant to be "REKKAPESU" (truck wash).

K&N lets most dust particles past, hence not being clogged even when dirty.

Retirement Road Trip Connect
mrtn replied to glennwelch's topic in Transit Connect Member Custom Builds
I discovered this in my 2006 TC with round perforation, so yes. The best possible tissue for it is the hand dryer paper you pull from the center. Cut the roll in half so it fits on the shelf upright and you’re good to go. -
Should be this one known issue - corrosion in charging cables. Check the battery terminals and the extra grounding cables between the terminals, body, engine and the alternator. Mine snapped mid drive because the battery was not fastened well and had moved yanking the cable all day, the engine cut out with a bang and also showed two red idiot lights. Reattached the cable with jump leads and got home.

Exactly, especially Focus which is the source of most parts in it.
