Replaced PCM twice in 500 miles? What kills PCMs?

Here we go again. -
rear liftgate vs cargo doors

Been driving a windowless van since 2006 and have zero issues with rear visibility. Not sure what kind of mirrors you have but the large two section ones are really handy. -
When mine runs out of LPG it automatically switches to gasoline.
-
Yes, but this forum goes haywire at least once a week for sanity maintenance reasons, sorry it had to be your thread ?

CNG is quite rare over here but more and more cars are popping up, especially taxi fleets with VW factory CNG setup. So the stations should follow the demand soon. There’s one next to my office and there’s always a waiting line of taxis there. LPG is available at every other station.

I was talking about the fuel source for electric cars. If it continues to be produced from oil shale or subsidies then we have not done anything right.
-
Of course not. Hybrids for transition in local scale or diesels for long haul transportation and full electric when the green infrastructure is available. Dino electricity is a terrile idea.

They're definitely in 1.0 Ecoboosts and 1.5 turbodiesels. Software. See also: Tesla OTA updates.
-
Yup. Gotta keep an eye on the matter.
-
2.0? Hmm. Mk1 TC only came with 1.8 litre turbodiesel in four variants: 1.8 TDDi 75 hp (old style diesel, I had this) 1.8 TDCi 75 hp (common rail diesel) 1.8 TDCi 90 hp (common rail diesel) 1.8 TDCi 110 hp (common rail diesel with a different geometry turbo and talle main gear of 3.80 IIRC) All models can be remapped for higher output.

There is an optional start-stop system in European models but it also has a different starter. You can’t use the standard one for start-stop.

Looks just like Windstar.

Leaning hard on two empty bottles of seafoam probably has some humor value.

Never head of this with any TC. -
Nope, no rattle or any stability issues.

Rostra cruise control - anyone added one to a 2014+?
mrtn replied to donuts's topic in Accessories and Modifications
I use CC even in the city and a mile long stretches. -
Why? It’s a decent vehicle (AKA Toyota Auris/Corolla Hatchback) for what it’s made for.

Transit wipers gone wild!
mrtn replied to xarlock667's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
Same issue as with my Mother-in-law’s PT Cruiser - the multifunction switch was well lubricated but the contacts were still wearing enought to form conductive bridges made of grease and copper dust and cause random lights to remain lit when the ignition was in “0” position. Took it apart, cleaned and applied new grease. Been okay since.- 13 replies

Saw a brand new looking one (with a Finnish plates, not the one on the pic) a couple of weeks ago: -
I feel you but plain physics and engineering say if two cars of equal size and weight get into an accident the unibody will have significantly less corpses to go.

It’s deliberate. They want to separate the Connect and full size Transit. They make more money on professional vans so they need to make sure the Connect is not fully usable for building contractors and such other than to haul tools and compressors around. It may feel too big of a jump in the US market but they actually have the Transit Custom in Europe to fit exactly between the Connect and fullsize. -
I would love myself a barebone E-series van (no fiberglass conversion).

You killed a FOR SALE Plymouth?

Not sure if it’s changed but my 96 Taurus had full power flowing through the multifunction stalk switch so it burnt like a candle. I wonder if it was ridiculous engineering or Ford tried to save money by leaving out a relay for headlights.
