We have a semi-lockdown. No actual restrictions other than public entertainment is closed and no gatherings allowed, including schools. I'll be going to the office tomorrow but it's quiet so shorter days.

1.6 Ecoboost van, 90% ready to pull the trigger

Naturally I will be buying OEM spec, not some "tuning" parts. -

Van needs substantial brake work. Rear discs seem to be really coarse and rusty like having been stuck. So I did a sportier driving session and the rust was gone, obviously not stuck. Both front and rear need new pads and new discs in the rear. Going for Brembo or Bosch, well worth a few extra Euros. Z -
Very likely. I never did replace mine during the 10 years of ownership.
-
Nope, definitely not. The only part this could come from is a piston but 45 mm diameter is just half of it.
-
Hmm, the inside does not seem like the crankshaft bearing. Or how it could get out of its seat. Has this engine been worked on? Like a rebuild or anything major?
-
Holy crap, this looks like crankshaft bearing.
-
I did not, the shop that did the flushing did.
-
Sure, but it needs to match Mercon LV specfications. Castrol TransMax has been widely used by members of this forum. Mine was flushed with Dexron VI, which is the same fluid as Mercon LV.
-
Depends on the year. 2013 onwards (new shape) is good enough. The 6F35 transmission can be upgraded with stronger components during repair and if you change the fluid often enough it should be trouble free. Unlike Ford's description the transmission is not service-free with "lifetime fluid". It's regular Mercon LV (50K miles max). First generation uses Focus engine/transmission and it's obviously too weak for the size of the car so you could expect more trouble but there have also been reports of very high mileage with original bits.

Transit Custom.

I get it. It's just those are rally car wheels
-
You need way more rally stripes on it with these wheels.

I have never seen all black ones, they're all black/chrome over here (Estonia, Europe).

I do have a set from my Gen1 days but I’m half way around the world.

Oh yes. Go to a diesel specialist. They know exactly how it's supposed to work and sniff out a problem right away.
-
Hi pressure pump checked?
-
Pretty much any make fits as long as the diameter and PCD fits.
-
The ratios may be off. Even my 2006 came with two different ratios (MT) for different engine configurations and when my original transmission was on its way out I swapped to a 1st Gen Focus transmission with a third variant of the ratio (a really sweet one, made driving fun), bolted right up. The speedo gear was in the transmission.

I don't think Ford did too much modding to Focus drive gear just for the three year run of the Gen1 in US market. I suppose its just dropped in the Connect body.

It's just faulty, I guess, not dual clutch. My 6F35 occasionally pucks since new as does my 8F35 in my other van (although significantly less).

Pressing Phone button should bring you somewhere.

Post a pic?

It does not have to have SYNC® to connect a phone. I have the barebone radio with USB and Bluetooth® for phone/BTA.

It is a regular automatic used in many Ford and GM vehicles. Either the engine/trans mounts are bad or the trans is on its last leg. Or both.
