  1. I have watched more than dozen Custom videos in past 24h. I was browsing through sales listings looking for a new van and some really nice looking/well equipped Customs popped up but anything I'd like are waaay past €40K and I'm not willing to pay that much for a work van.
  2. https://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=142179 The engine code is on the door post plate.
  3. It’s regular open diff, no preference from the differential side. The transmission is on the left so the drive shaft is also shorter. There’s a theoretical chance of the LF wheel getting more immediate torque but it’s just theoretical.
  4. Yes, these are alloys from the new model. Tyres are a couple of percent bigger than yours but it’s not an issue.
  5. Holy massive bomb carpet of information Batman!
  6. This part is definitely from inside the transmission and it's probably a goner.
  7. perhaps ask in the facebook group, there are over ten thousand UK people there, some may be well versed in shipping stuff.

Not much apart from a remap.
  9. Overstuffing is not an issue. I have a very specific use for it, light but large loads:
  10. Absolutely. I need a much bigger one than my Cargo Connect. 12 ft long and 5'10" tall.
  11. Is this a high-pressure toroidal tank? If yes, you'll need a new one.
  12. You'll need a full replacement 2DIN fascia to acommodate the switch from a regular model.

    2020 Connect XLT

Michelin CrossClimates are much quieter than OEM Continentals. Sound insulation also helps a lot.
  14. I have been contemplating getting a box trailer so I can take care of all kinds of hauling with one van. I sometimes transport large electronic devices which need to be plastic wrapped when on a flatbed trailer. This has gotten old and takes too much time and is never 100% water tight.
  15. The chicken tax is somewhat understandable to screw foreign manufacturers but in TC case they just screwed their own while creating a shipful of landfill.
  16. Nice to have this freedom. The cargo van has possible tire sizes written on the B-pillar (16” only) and I wouldn’t pass inspection if different. They’re really strict about it over here.
  17. A van + trailer has much more function than a truck unless you need 4x4.
  18. There's a guy in the transit connect'ed facebook group who does these conversions for a living. Perhaps he's willing to share the information.
  19. The shortages of anything caused by early 2020 shutdowns are global now. There's NOTHING worth anything in stocks. Manufacturers suffer from shortages as we do.
  20. The best result comes from upgrading the speakers and seriously sound insulating door frame/outer sheet. This will make the biggest difference without providing you with any increase in sound volume. There's no point of doing it without insulation. Adding an amp will make major difference, adding punch to the upgraded speakers. The 130 mm OEM size will put a limit to the sound level and bass response. This is where an underseat sub comes in. And so on.
  21. I think we need to install ground switches like in the old days.
  22. Nope, the upper dash display is combined with a different type of head unit (SYNC).
