  1. Never saw any. Are they just cosmetic or what do they do, Todd?
  2. Welcome aboard. Are you towing a boat?
  3. I agree with you Hal. The new one is a nice mini-van but just doesn't serve the same purpose as the old model.

Inexcusable! Even a "wash boy" at a dealership ought to know enough to check the label. If Ford keeps doing irresponsible things like that, they will end up like Toyota! What was that fine, over a BILLION dollars!!!? (Wonder how Consumer Reports feels about THAT!)
  5. Welcome. I know the enduro will fit in there but probably not the streetrod!!
  6. Quite a project there, Robert. Keep us posted on your progress.
  7. http://www.chevrolet.com/city-express-small-van.html (I think it is a Nissan.)
  8. Hi and welcome. Does this trouble you speak of have to do with your Transit Connect? Because if it has to do with your marriage, I sure can't help you there.
  9. Mine were from Amazon.com but I saw the identical covers in Kmart a week or so later at a few dollars cheaper. There are all sorts of cheap plastic wheel covers on Amazon, just get the kind with the ADJUSTABLE wire retainer. The adjustment works great and you will not have the falling off problems like with the originals. Some of mine had to be adjusted tighter than others on the same car.
  10. My pleasure, buddy. Good luck on the camper and thanks for your service.
  11. You do realize that the stock Transit Connect is rated at 1600 pounds. Seems like that ought to be more than enough for a camper rig like the one shown. Not to be a wise guy, but am I missing something here?
  12. Welcome Chris. I can't really tell you what to look for at that mileage. Seems like some of the owners here have had wheel bearing problems. You might want to have someone take a look at those. Then there have also been some transmission troubles mentioned. That might not be as easy to check for. I don;t mean to scare you off however, The great majority of us have not reported any significant problems, and it is a great van in my opinion. Congratulations on starting your own business, by the way. From your photo you seem very young to have achieved that! (joking!)
  13. Oh,yes, that is a great color- (despite the strange name).
  14. Okay, so what color is "burnished glow"? Sounds like orange to me. I wonder what the person who thinks up all these names earns a year. I once looked at a car which was listed as being "Royal Aztec" in color.
  15. I noticed that my Continentals picked up a lot of stone too. I would never say they were filled as you describe, but more than usual. I really liked the Contis at first but then they began to wear very rapidly, so I changed my opinion and tired another brand for replacements.
  16. As I replied on your "new wheels" post, my fifteen inch generic hubcaps fit okay.
  17. Can't figure what the problem might be, I bought generic 15 inch hubcaps for mine and they fit just fine.
  18. Thanks for the offer, Onur, but I will not be ready to do anything for several months anyway. I'd rather just wait to see what some of the other forum folks do first.
  19. Please post it up when you find one. Sounds like something lots of us would be interested in.
  20. First thing I'd check is the thermostat. Sounds like you were losing coolant though which generally means a leak. Anyway I think your problem is not the heater but the cooling system. There is a very good chance of it being an inexpensive fix. Good luck.
  21. Is the engine getting hot on the temp gauge? Thats the first thing to determine.
  22. I wonder if perhaps your tire has a broken belt. It will still be in balance but it will shake like a wet dog. It happens sometimes and there's not much one can do about it.
  23. And for a minute there I thought I might be wrong!!
  24. I agree with you, Robert regarding the rather drastic change to the TC for next year. I wonder if it is not a mistake though, because the current TC seems to be just catching on here in my neck of the woods. I saw three at the same intersection yesterday, two commercial and one private. And none of those was even mine.
